I love Tears Dry On Their Own from Amy Winehouse I find myself singing it in my head at least once a day but no one I know likes it.
I think its a fantastic song.

Any Future Perfect song. They're not a very well-known band but they're one of my favourite bands. Their last album was flawless. Nobody I know has even heard of them, let alone listen to them!

I love Tears Dry On Their Own[...]no one I know likes it.
It was my favourite of her singles, much better than the overrated cover of Valerie!

Valerie is brilliant - you peasants! (Much like its Peter Gabriel namesake)

There are two of us here, who like Starship: We built this city

Ha ha at you calling people peasants and then claiming the other Valerie song is Peter Gabriel. It's Steve Winwood.

Three; I always thought it was a great 80s song, and I liked it when I was growing up.

IMHO, none of the reasons people supposedly hate it are solely- if at all- about its merits as a song. Even if you don't like it personally, there's no plausible case that can argue that its so bad as to warrant its inclusion in Blender and VH1's infamous "50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever".

AFAICT, the hatred is mainly (i) due to the perception of an archetypal late-60s counterculture band selling out and pissing off baby boomers.

Also, (ii) AFAICT it was a much bigger (#1) hit in America, and probably got a bit overplayed there- it didn't even hit the top 10 in the UK.

Finally, (iii) the video takes a lot of stick- I didn't see it at the time, and while I'll agree it's full of lots of (non-)special blue screen effects, this has nothing to do with the song.

Fair cop - but just a typo as I had just been listening to Sledgehammer.

Can't think of any I like that other people don't like. The fact that they've been released and even heard of must mean that someone else has liked them at some point.
