I thought Len was unecessarily mean to Natalie and overall very grumpy this evening. He permanently had the face of a bulldog chewing a wasp. I know he's not always smiley but tonight he was just rude and it spoilt the show a bit for me.

He was nastier than Craig, and Craig just plays at being nasty. In fact, tonight, Craig was Mr. Affable.

What was up with Len tonight?

To be honest, I am asking myself that question most weeks!

He can't even blame the jetlag as DWTS finished at the end of November, but he too was very bitchy and biased against Natalie tonight. He ravaged her to pieces, quite critical yet when it came to judges' pet Abbey he went 'There was issues with the footwork but I don't have time to go into them' talk about wrong inconsistent and very unfair!

Well, there are two sides of Len:

There is the false side, the side he wants to show and put on TV. A roguish, Cockney charmer, cheeky, smiley, salt-of-the-earth Londoner with a bit of Carry On Humour and always encouraging others.

And then there's what Len is, a nasty, rude, narcissistic, bullying control freak who is so defensive of himself yet feels he has the right to be nasty to people. The way he has spoken to Mark, Craig, Bruno and Natalie this series has been disgraceful. Whether you agree with his opinion or not, there is basic respect and Len never shows it yet absolutely demands it from everyone else.

And let's face it, he's a lecherous git too. As I said in the other thread, I'm not a prudish guy but I have to say that I went "urgh" when he made that sleazy comment to Abbey with that pervy expression on his face. It wasn't funny, I just felt really bad for Abbey as she looked quite mortified actually.

Natalie has performed a smooth with very little hold, a Vienese Waltz with very little Vienese Waltz and now a Paso with hardly any Paso. Frankly I'm on Len's side and if I were him I'd reduce their score by one each week until they actually managed to dance the majority of a dance in hold.

Great post! So well put. He is an absolute disgrace - an angry and ill educated old man who should shut up and retire. He is so out of touch it's shocking.

I've thought for a while that he is just downright rude and bearing in mind it's family show, some of his expression are a bit near the mark.

Brendan, Artem, Ola has told him unceremoniously to go home - to bed!

i thought he was rude and really rather threatening to natalie tonight, and it was totally uncalled for. she is an invited guest on a light entertainment show and should be treated with respect, not like some unsatisfactory below stairs servant...

i agree with some of the criticisms made of natalie and of artem's choreography, but it was totally unacceptable they way he spoke to her.

His only positive comment seemed to be for taking Abbey up to his office.. :-X

I thought he was particularly nasty to Susanna tonight as well!... she got a lot of critism from all the judges, but what i thought was the matter was the song!.. Never in a million years is that an Argentinian tango song!, and yet not one of the judges said that!.. they just critised the dance!... not very fair i didn't think!,

They won't criticize the song as mentioned in another thread, it's the producers that choose the songs.

He reminds me of the relative you dread seeing at family parties. You hope he won't have too much wine. But invariably he does have too much wine. You hope he won't express himself in a prejudiced and offensive way. But he does express himself in ways that are prejudiced and offensive. You start to wonder why he keeps being invited, when he is so invariably ill-mannered. You start to question whether you will keep going to the parties, if he is going to be there not just talking from time to time, but determined to dominate the conversation....

I usually like Len but he was just downright rude tonight and he ruined the show for me. His comments to Natalie were ridiculous.

He's been like that towards her for a few weeks now. Last week no way did Abbey deserve a 40 but he was full of it.

The main thing up with Len Goodman is that he is Len Goodman.

For me, he was doing what he ought to have been doing all along - criticising as someone who knows about ballroom dancing. Natalie and Artem's dance just didn't cut it for me.

I also agree with him on these points but it's the way he's been dishing them out that's shocked me this week, very agressive.

He was downright rude and he should be ashamed of himself.

I have asked my Spanish friend that dance was perfectly correct.
