Ironically, I thought his comments on Natalie were the closest he's been to being right about a dance in ages. I said watching it that they just didn't seem to be focussed on each other. Like Sophie's rumba it was in and out - brief moments of focus and then swirl away and forget you have a partner for a few seconds. The whole point of the intense dances - tango, atango, paso, rumba is the rest of the room should cease to exist. For Natalie and Artem they're dancing to the room, not to each other.

Which doesn't excuse his rudeness any more than any of his previous rudeness - "I see the good" - has been excusable. The only thing more erratic than his behaviour is his scoring.

I thought Lens comments to Natalie were out of order and downright rude. Would imagine Artem is really angry.

Exactly, the issue is not about the dance it's his disgraceful attitude, a few ago on the results show he criticized Craig for been picky and how he sees the 'good' in everything, yet look at tonight, really hypocritical

But to be fair he criticised Artem before for not being in hold.Obviously he took no notice. I hated the way Natalie was gurning throughout the dance. I'm surprised Craig did not say anything. When all is said and done Len is the only judge with a ballroom background.

He was rude but I don't blame him. Artem made a big thing about this dance pleasing Len and it was like he was taking the mick.

Parts were good but he had Natalie running around like a drunk after him in one part and what was all that teeth nashing, gurney thing she was doing? Artem didn't create a great tango or a great paso. With a partner who has Natalie's dance training, I imagine he expected a lot more from them. Not Natalie's fault of course.

I think Len was frustrated at the routine to be honest - I personally do not think it did Natalie justice

Agreed- and I don't think Natalie takes it personally- I think you can see from Artem's rueful smiles that he knows it's him he's criticising, not Natalie.

Spot on there - and on the back of the comment a few weeks ago that the judges were going to be cracking down, with so little of that paso in hold and so little paso content (apart from plenty of arm-waving, dress flapping and strutting about), each judge should have docked one point extra.

Artem seems to be revelling in "doing an Aliona" by ignoring Len's valid comments and criticisms which are aimed directly at him, not Natalie.

And let's face it, Natalie should be capable of much more, given the chance. And I believe that Len has made that point before, so it must be all the more frustrating for Len to see Artem ignoring him.

His explosion to Natalie seemed uncalled for in its nastiness; he has a point about the "in hold" issues, but surprised he expressed himself so bluntly. The see me in my office comment (to Abbey?) was misjudged too

That's true, but I feel sorry for Natalie, as none of that has been her fault.

Tonight he was exceptionally rude and bad tempered. Quite unprofessional!

If anyone spoke to his granddaughter the way he spoke to Natalie tonight I'm sure he would be fuming.

They could easily get a better Ballroom judge - I'm sick of people saying he's the best judge because he has a Ballroom background (no offense). He probably hasn't danced properly in decades and he's easily the most inconsistent and biased judge.

Natalie did that catching flies thing in her Tango as well. I'm sick of Artem's nonsense and I've given up on them as a partnership.

I think Artem had that coming but it was a pity that Natalie got caught in the crossfire.

I must have missed the frog tongue choreography, but I'm always open to new ideas.

I agree with this.

I'm not a dancer in any real sense but I assume it's a creative art that moves with the times just like any other. Len, however, still seems to be stuck in his 70s ballroom timewarp. To place him in an environment in which I am comfortable, I see him as an Ofsted inspector who wanders round a primary school asking why the children are not sitting at desks in twos, what's happened to blackboards and chalk and what on earth are these little screens with moving images on them?

He said the same thing, vertually word for word to Alesha after one of her dances. "There was an issue with your feet, which I will tell you about in my dressing room after"

The Abbey comment was incredibly pervy.

Sorry, what Len said about Natalie's dance was absolutely right, both my sister and I were screaming for some dance in hold for over half the dance. Same with last week, it does not take an expert to see that Artem has not choreographed the last two weeks very well at all.

And sorry again, but a lot of this years competitors have got away with poor performances and then got glowing comments from the judges. And it has gone on too long this year. Consequently when Len has had to get the remaining celebs to step it up, all and sundry start squealing about Len being a misogynistic vulgarian.

Having said that he did seem to have forgotten to take his happy pills last night.

And then there's what Len is, a nasty, rude, narcissistic, bullying control freak who is so defensive of himself yet feels he has the right to be nasty to people. The way he has spoken to Mark, Craig, Bruno and Natalie this series has been disgraceful. Whether you agree with his opinion or not, there is basic respect and Len never shows it yet absolutely demands it from everyone else.

And let's face it, he's a lecherous git too. As I said in the other thread, I'm not a prudish guy but I have to say that I went "urgh" when he made that sleazy comment to Abbey with that pervy expression on his face. It wasn't funny, I just felt really bad for Abbey as she looked quite mortified actually.”

After his comments to Natalie he then scored her 8, surely considering his comments she should have been no where near that score? His marking and comments are poles apart, i think its time for Len to retire, personally i would like to see karen hardy take his place, and if id been bruno id have chinned him last night.
