And then there's what Len is, a nasty, rude, narcissistic, bullying control freak who is so defensive of himself yet feels he has the right to be nasty to people. The way he has spoken to Mark, Craig, Bruno and Natalie this series has been disgraceful. Whether you agree with his opinion or not, there is basic respect and Len never shows it yet absolutely demands it from everyone else.

And let's face it, he's a lecherous git too. As I said in the other thread, I'm not a prudish guy but I have to say that I went "urgh" when he made that sleazy comment to Abbey with that pervy expression on his face. It wasn't funny, I just felt really bad for Abbey as she looked quite mortified actually.”

I agree, your comment is absolutely spot on.

This isn't all that new. He flipped out with Kara after her American Smooth at Blackpool - because of Artem's choreography.

Artem has created this situation. He is choreographing every routine as if it's a showdance, then acts hurt when Len criticises him. He needs to take a leaf out of James' book - the master of choreographing a judge-friendly (an especially Len-friendly) routine.

But, crucially, the producers know all this. They know what Artem will do and they know how Len wll react. And, for them, it's good, because it creates 'drama'. And everyone will look shocked, Natalie included. (Not unlike saddling Susannah and Kevin with a wholly inappropriate piece of music and then the judges say it lacks atmosphere ... and the camera cuts to S&K's faces).

So don't expect this to end any time soon ... Strictly is a reality show and, like all reality shows, it is at least part-scripted.

All part of the journey/redemption arc.

Either next week or in the Final (let's face it, they'll be in the Final) suddenly Artem will produce a routine that has Len positively orgasming over the table.

Cue trumpets. Cue heavenly choirs. Artem is the master of dance.

Colour me cynical but it's SO SO scripted.

I totally agree - and I think it's getting worse.

So expect more 'drama' before it's over ...

You do have a compelling way with words!

Perhaps lacking in a little subtlety but your heart is in the right place

Len negative = sympathy and anti judge vote = Natalie might actually get some votes. Show gains some drama.

As you say, Len converted and praising Natalie = journey story and underlines achievement = more votes and reason to win.

I remember his comments to Kelly Brook when her father was ill/dying, at the time I thought they were downright cruel.

I agree with everything that Len said, he implied that some of the other judges were bias and where Patrick is concerned it appears that they are, how could Darcy give him ten and then say that he had improved in the dance off. It doesn't make sense.
