They are both great contestants but are always undermarked and in my opinion they should of had 10's by now.
Despite how great they dance the judges always post-mortem their performances to find the smallest of faults and yet they let their favourite Abbey through with no quibbles at all.

They are both under marked totally agree, but in fairness Abbey is a better dancer then both of them. So can hardly be the butt of blame.. in regards

They always pick on the smallest faults when they let others slide.

I thought Sophie's dance last week was miles better than Abbeys.

Sophie & Ashley are undermarked,it's ridiculous.Really fear for Sophie & Brendan tonight & if they do go I don't think i'll watch any further.
The judges just have their favourites & the scores never match their comments.
Len in particular was chronic tonight & Dardy's 10 for Patrick was just stupid.Len slagged off Artem's choreography, praised Brendan's & them gave them both 8's!

I absolutely loved Sophie's dance last week, it should have been 10's, Abbeys was a fab dance, she did it very well.. the only fault with it was it wasn't strictly salsa.. But none the less she owned it.

For me they were equally great.. not the same dance , so cant be judged the same but should have been judged fairly on their own merits.

Sophie was really poor tonight. Brendan knew he had to carry her around a Tango, so adapted the choreography to suit.

Such a shame as she did seem to have been on an upward path the last couple of weeks - not great, but getting there.

Totally agree! Imo Ashley has had some amazing dances but he always gets picked up on stupid things that others get away with.

I am so fed up of the blatant favouritism shown towards Patrick and Abbey too.

I agree and I have said this time and time again. The judges have their favourites but Sophie and Ashley aren't any of them.

I spotted a couple of mishaps in Sophie's dance, performance/acting wise she delivered, finally. As for Ashley his Latin dancing isn't very good. He's not a natural mover and his awkward movements are exposed when he's dancing side by side with Ola. On a positive their lifts were amazing especially the last one.

No! It really wasn't Abbey has a stunning ballroom top line, no one can touch her for that, I'm afraid, which is why the judges are drawn to her, the other girls in the show are hit and miss in the ballroom because they cannot lift their bodies and create the fantastic arch of her back and, more importantly, maintain it throughout..... The mistakes are overlooked because this top line overshadows any errors.........! Now the Latin is another story I'm afraid...

Ashley's head-line is quite a distraction though, some faults aren't so much so. I think he gave a great performance tonight though, a great opener to the show.

I don't think it is favouritism shown towards Abbey either, she was easily the best of the six tonight.

These two deserved their standing Os (the only two of the night?).

This.
Patrick is good but he didn't deserve that 10 and neither did Abbey.

I think it depends on what the judges are looking for. Sophie is always going to struggle for high scores when 3 of the judges concentrate so much on performance. She under performs consistently, which is loved by some viewers, loathed by others. I also think it's easier to see Sophie's performance down the lens of a tv camera, whereas I guess it would be hard in the studio.

She was poor tonight thought there was a lot of being dragged around.

Ashley I have a bit more sympathy with, but he has a lot of fundamental errors that are easy to spot like posture and footwork. You can't see the footwork on TV but I guess it would be really easy to see that stuff in the studio but he also just doesn't have time to train to get the refinement the judges are looking for.

Susanna got a bigger one than either of them.

Just keeping voting for Ashley and Ola. Don't let the producers/judges win.

I agree Abbey does have a stunning top line, but there was gapping in her ballroom dance again which did not get picked up on by the judges...again!!! Where as other dancers, Ashley and Sophie mostly have the smallest things picked out by the judges every week.

Saying that tonight Sophie's top line did vanish by the end of her dance and her shoulders were almost hunched again.

Some Sophie fans need to take the blinkers off I am sad to say. Tonight the theme was dreadful along with the music and it totally ruined the dance. She struggled with the tango. The judges did not overmark her. 34 was a generous score I thought.

Patrick was ridiculously marked. His Rumba was not a 36 / 40 performance!!!

Susanna seems to have the audience on her side each week. I don't think it was worthy of a standing O though. Sophie did not get a standing O. Her Tango was cringe

@Smokeychan. I went to get a cuppa cause it was too Painful to watch that AT. Dire music and gurning. Ouch. Felt really bad for her tonight

Don't agree, her topline was at times very sloppy tonight (only Susanna and Natalie, in regards to the females, have been able to get a great topline this series).

Sophie didn't get a standing ovation as far as I can remember? I think Ashley was undermarked - should have been 4 nines and Patrick was overmarked. Sophie was about right in marks, but way better than Patrick! And I do like Patrick as a guy
