It really comes down to how likely you think you may use it. Personally I wouldn't find a need for it but I'm sure plenty of others would. Although I don't know how good or bad it is in practice.
The tablet is good as long as you don't mind being toed in with Amazon |

I can't believe that you can just point your tablet at the TV, press a button, and whatever is on the tablet appears magically on the TV?
Not without a lot of setting up anyway. |

You can download apps for that on smartphones and tablets. I guess Amazon just bundled it as standard. And you need a smart TV also.

Do you really get to speak to an annoying, bobbly-headed Irish woman with a fixed grin when you press the button?

![]() I've got splashtop HD on my tablet, that lets me see my computer screen, which I suppose is a similar idea, but it took some setting up, and doesn't work very well. |

If you have a smart tv it should just work without any setting up.

You'd have to download an app to your TV as well and do some pairing up first surely? It's not a 'one button' solution as they suggest.

It says in the small print on the advert, you have to do all the setting up 1st. The advert makes it seem like... oooh ive got a TV and a Tablet = swipe tablet film appears on tv ![]() i dont think so. |

It uses miracast so you have to have a miracast compatible tv. That's it really.

I also admit the current advert is quite misleading.
But its a great new support option. A nice video demonstrating how it all works here; http://youtu.be/1ehSvqXwC8w |
