Anyone notice the lack of lifts in the swingathon last night?”

Exactly, her AS is likely to be great. The question is which dance do the couples repeat? If it is their highest scoring one, then Sophie still has a chance (at least against one of the men).

I also feel that Sophie and Brendan will not get the judges vote if in the dance off.

Both appear to have their own tours early next year so won't be doing the SCD TOUR. Would the PTB be happy with a tour that does not include the winner (should Sophie avoid the DDO and secure the viewers votes in the final)?”

I think if Brendan has his way Sophie will be doing the Paso.

And no, many times the winning celebrity hasn't went on tour.

Brendan has to try and work on that top line it spoils Sophie's ballroom so much

I think Alesha is the only winner so far who didn't tour.

Agreed. Don't think she'll get a ten until it's sorted. Trouble is, I think Brendan is so convinced she's a 'magical' dancer, he'll probably not work on it at all.

It's not just the winners - of the 17 finalists on the show since the tour started, 13 have done it immediately following their series (Alesha, Lisa, Ricky and Kimberley are the ones who skipped it). It's pretty much a given that if you're available and make the end of the series, you're doing the tour. I don't think it's got anything to do with who they want to win.

Wasn't the case last year.

Seriously? Sophie was so limp and low energy, it almost seemed like Brendan deliberately did a lot of lifts to keep her feet from touching the floor!

Well they had danced last so had less time to recover

Just bumping this up now the results show is over

Think Susanna has the worst possible draw - she hasn't got a good track record with fast dances (quickstep and cha-cha from most recent memory) and neither foxtrot nor rumba are high impact, whereas everyone else has at least one such dance guaranteed.

Given that Dani did Argentine Tango as her 'latin' in the semi-final last year, I reckon we can only be certain of a couple of dances so far...

Abbey - 2 of American Smooth / Argentine Tango / Samba
Natalie - 2 of Foxtrot / Argentine Tango / Salsa
Patrick - 2 of Waltz / Argentine Tango / Paso Doble
Sophie - American Smooth, Paso Doble / Salsa
Susanna - Foxtrot, Rumba / Salsa

Dani doing the AT was a late change - they were originally down to do it as their new dance in the final before the format changed from three couples in the final to four.

Natalie has salsa left (not paso).

I don't think it makes much difference. She has the votes from the public.

If she's bottom of the leaderboard with no ties, then she can be in the bottom two even if the public vote for her. (And I think putting her bottom of the leaderboard two weeks running would give a pretty strong hint that the public would probably take TBH).

I'm not convinced, particularly when she was saved after last night's dance.

As you say though, mathematically it is possible.

I thought Susanna looked as if she was expecting to go tonight.

BIB So Abbey can escape the samba and have the Argentine Tango as her Latin and American Smooth as her ballroom then; Just like Dani last year . I hope this happens .

Unlikely though, as that happened because of a change in schedule (the final suddenly went from 3 persons to 4 persons). Think that Natalie will easily top the leaderboard next week (we already know that the salsa can be a 40 dance this series).

I'd hope they wouldn't give two dances in the same genre in the same series the perfect score, although after FOXTROT DOMINATION in Series 6 I guess I wouldn't put anything past them.

We've had two perfect Charlestons, two perfect showdances and two perfect Argentine Tangos in the same series over the last few years, so I wouldn't rule it out.

But there were some beautiful Foxtrots back in Series Six (lots of big sighs).

I doubt they'll let her count it as a Latin when everyone else has to count it as a ballroom...

I predict Susanna will be a Rumba-dodger. There is no way the powers that be will give her the dance of death.

Rumba has a much better survival rate than salsa does.
