Catching the atmosphere
Next year is 25 years since the Berlin Wall fell - coincidentally, 200 years after the French Revolution of which Dickens wrote: "Bliss in that morning to be alive".
One song captured the feeling then in a way that no other song ever has. I was in the (now) Czech Republic in the August - 3 hours to cross the border and 5 to comeback, playing volleyball as a Czech helicopter gunship flew over. Two months later, it was all gone. For those of you too young to remember those heady days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4RjJKxsamQ |

For a moment I though it was going to be David Hasselhoff.

Is there any reason why you associate that song with the fall of the Berlin wall?
