Sam Bailey's Weight Loss program
Sam said last night that she has lost 2 stones since joining the X Factor and all it took was a this Japanese work out program for 20 minutes a day, I can't believe that is all it took, there must be more to it than that.

Set meals courtesy of Syco probably had more to do with it.

![]() But yes, there is more to it than that. There is no such thing as an exercise routine that is "all that it takes" to lose weight. Especially not at the rate that she has been. |

I read that they have a chief so I should think that she will have lots of yummy meals that will help her to losse weight and with exercise she would of lost.
Good luck to her |

She wouldn't have lost 2 stone through exercise alone. I would imagine she's followed a healthy eating programme as well.
Losing 2 stone in 3 months is easily achievable with a calorie controlled diet or a healthy eating programme like Weightwatchers. It's keeping it off afterwards which is where the hard work really comes in |

I would imagine that being constantly busy, sharing a house with new people, being on the telly every week (therefore being highly motivated) would have played a large part in her weight loss.

I should imagine that constantly appearing in the spotlight does wonders for the willpower. Plus she is probably more busy and food is more controlled. I think all that would have as much an effect as any special program.

I heard her personal trainer talking on LBC Radio during the week. There's a lot more to it than a daily 20-minute exercise routine, and he's certainly controlling her diet too.

I did something similar myself, works remarkably we! Have to eat better of course too! But yeah, I've managed to lose over a stone since September, just from intensity workouts at home

The show is a workout in itself! Believe me the contestants do not have time to sit around and eat. Missed meals and the constants are here there and everywhere daily - it will contribute to weight loss. They have never worked so hard!
I'm not suprised SamBa has lost the weight. And if she's exercising too as well as eating healthily, she will continue to lose. She's never going to be skinny, she's too big boned for that but she looked very nice last night. |

![]() The most important thing though, is maintaining the will to do it. Edit - I certainly think Sam has lost weight since we first saw her. She's looking good. |

I'd say she definitely looks to be about a size 14 but as the tv does add pounds, she could be a 12.
I don't think she's someone who should ever be skinny as that isn't what her body is supposed to be but a nice, healthy size 12 and she will look fantastic |

Losing weight is not about exercise. Its all about calories in, calories out. Exercise is only employed to help increase the number of calories out. You'd be amazed how quickly you can lose weight if you eat nothing for a week.
The most important thing though, is maintaining the will to do it. Losing weight is the easy bit, it's keeping it off that's hard |

Stress can contribute to weightloss, and I think X factor must not be a walk in the park.

Look at the people on IAC. They've lived on a restricted diet for a couple of weeks at all lost at least a stone, well over 2 stone in some cases. It'll mostly go back on again in a few weeks though once they get back to their old ways.
Losing weight is the easy bit, it's keeping it off that's hard (big thumbs up smiley)

Sam doesn't strike me as someone who suffers from stress though. This must be a breeze considering she is a warden in a mens prison !! |
