I agree, he's very talented. I am not a fan of modern music in ballroom, but yesterday he showed that it can work. That you can choreograph a dance that looks natural even with music not originally intended for it. He used every accent in the song in the choreography. Very clever.

I didn't know that the ability to walk straight with an ego the size of his vould be counted as talent.

It was phrased beautifully by someone that knows what they are doing.

A pleasant thread and also Brendan has been praised the most by the judges this year, more than anyone else throughout scd for choreography..

Yes, and quite rightly so.

He does wonderful routines

I'm supposed to be watching Sophie, and I do try, but my eyes are drawn to Brendan all the time. He is just a superb dancer, very masculine and sexy too. Oooer!

How the hell did that car crash of an AT from Kevin score the same as Brendans bang on AT? The judges are just crap. Karen Hardy & Ian Waite would be so much better.

I have just looked Brendan and Sophie's AT. It was rather like that of Susanna and Kevin. Both couples seemed to have little chemistry between them.

Kevin has not learnt or danced an AT before. I am guessing that Brendan has done so.

When Len said on ITT last night that he especially liked Brendan's choreography this year, I thought to myself, well, he's been there since series 1, by now you would think he would have learnt how to please the judges, but occasionally he still doesn't manage it. It's such a subjective thing though, and Len doesn't seem very consistent to me in his likes and dislikes anyway.

^^^ but this year Brendan really produces one great choreography after another. The only one I did not like was the rumba. I don't know if I did not notice before or Sophie really is his muse that makes him care more than usually.

I hope that care extends to his show dance without stifling his creativity.

I've been hot and cold with Brendan through the years, depending on his partners but this year I think he's been incredible.

Brendan has been excellent this year. I think, like some others have said, that the choreography could be down to him having his own show. It's been amazing.

I have been saying this for years. The strange thing is that he was originally introduced as the latin champion of New Zealand but he is also the best at the ballroom dances. He has always used proper competition figures in his dancing - like the reverse wave in the foxtrot, unlike the others who just do an endless succession of standing spins and under-turned pivots. He is so stylish that I suspect he has had a lot of ballet training although, like Gene Kelly, he is careful not to use ballet positions and movements too obviously. To me the best ballroom dance ever on this show was the foxtrot he did with Lisa Snowdon.

Nice to see a positive thread. I do think Sophie has been his muse this year as each and every dance seems to have been choreographed to suit her cool sophistication. I havn't really taken a lot of notice of him previously (I've only been watching for a couple of years) I have been very impressed though this year and I'm glad the judges have noticed.
Silly thing to be majorly impressed by I'm sure but when he glided down that bannister he just looked so suave!

Len was impressed, too. He wanted to enter on ITT yesterday the same way, but they would not let him, health & safety. So he at least told us about his thong

Brendan has become better and better,he no longer sets out to antagonise the judges with illegal lifts, just beautiful choreography all through. It's been good to see the judges acknowledge his talent this year, I just hope the continued improvement extends to the showdance and we don't get another like the bacofoil dead deer performance.

He's shone this year. His choreo has occasionally seriously misfired before, but he's been damned good this year.

I laud his ability to produce really interesting and excellent routines without 'cheating' the dance in any way.

Good ole Brendan.

I'm even grateful for Bacofoil, it provided a lasting memory as well as a long period of hysterical enjoyment.

Nice to read a positive thread about Brendan without the bitchy comments from one or two people. I've always liked him but haven't always voted for him as he has had some really duff partners. This year however his choreography and dancing have been his best ever. His partnership with Sophie has been great and he is really choreographing his dances to suit her. Great to see positive comments from the judges about his choreography and the connection between them both. Good to see that Sophie, Brendan and both their partners get on so well and all meet up socially, I'm sure it helps.

Well he did win the first series with Natasha Kaplinsky. I am hoping he will win again, which would be a record for a professional.
