I think this fundamentally misunderstands the group dynamics of these things. Amy could not have 'done all the work' because there were other hard-working people in the camp who would have carried on working.

To take over the work, as opposed to helping, she would have had to pretty well barge them out of the way. And you are right, Lucy (and Kian, and whoever else did all the wood carrying and cleaning the loo) would not have liked being barged.

It was me who said that. Of course there are situations in your life where you can't accept other people's behaviour, but only in extreme circumstances.(eg a sociopathic axe murderer would be difficult to accept, but I think we can agree that you can't put Amy into that category of extreme behaviour)

In a situation where you're working on a TV programme with 11 other people it would make sense to accept there will be some people who won't put in as much hard work as others. That's a given. What I disliked was Amy being singled out as the only one who didn't pull her weight, or the only one who grabbed screen time (what was Matthew doing in the white bikini if he didn't want to grab screen time for example)

As they are all professionals in the industry I don't think it was nice of Lucy to comment every time she perceived Amy posing for the cameras. Why did she resent her having a bit of screen time? She seemed determined to expose her faults to her fellow campates and to the public and that's what I didn't like.

Yes I know Sorry about that!

I don't know - put her in a dark room with just an axe and Lucy for company who knows what might happen (and to who!)?

Just wanting to entertain the camp, perhaps? Well, I accept he might have hoped for a few votes out of it too, but I don't think vying for screen time itself is an issue. They all get screen time anyway.

Really? Amy was going to get screen time with or without Lucy's input. You might say Lucy added to her screen time. I don't think there's any evidence that Lucy did anything "every time". As for exposing Amy's faults, wasn't she just passing the endless hours by talking to her fellow campmates? I'm sure she talked about the others too.

Lol! *imagines Amy shoving everyone out of the way so she can take over the chores*

I'm sure we would have heard about it if she had done, after all, they were desperate for any controversial footage which is why they kept askling them in the BT how they felt about Amy and the contraband.

I agree that Lucy's dislike of Amy added to her screen time. Oh the irony, if only she'd known she would have kept her opinions to herself.

I didn't say she was constantly saying controversial things.

I'm sure she wouldn't

I added a bit in the above post about Matthew, btw.

Is anyone else having problems on DS? Even with a god net connection, I seem to constantly have to refresh to get pages to load properly

You said "I'm sure she talked about the others too." But unles she was pointing out their faults, as she did when she talked about Amy, I doubt they would bother to air ir as it wouldn't fit into their story line. I'm sure if she'd been running anyone else down we'd have heard about it. Amy seemed to eb the only one she had a problem with.

Regarding Matthew, he thought about it beforehand and packed the bikini. He may well have done it to amuse the camp and the people at home, but it was still an attention air-time grabbing thing to do. They don't all get screen time either. I remember when Mike Reid was voted out in series 1, they all thought he was a bit of a laugh round the campfire, but none of that was shown. They preferred to concentrate on the arguments of which there were many.

I installed an ad blocker to stop DS running slow and freezing up on me. I've disabled shockwave flash player too as that was causing problems.

OK, I get you now, I think! Mike Read was series 3 btw

Thanks for your thoughts on improving the running of DS

The shower or waterfall wasn't near the camp, so he wasn't doing it for them

But they saw him wearing it - didn't they?

EDIT: Indeed they did - they've just shown the clip!

Maybe he did it to prove a point... Wear a skimpy bikini gets you noticed

Wouldn't he have had to wear it in the camp to get through to the waterfall

Yes I know they saw him wearing it but if it was for the entertainment of the camp, why not just wear it in the camp.

Well I never said it was JUST for the entertainment of the camp.

It would hardly be worth it just to put it on in camp anyway - the Myleene shower scene he was lampooning is what the bikini is remembered for. It'd be daft to say 'hey, look at me wearing the Myleene bikini', and then just take it off again. The shower scene is integral, viewers or not. But of course, it WAS for the viewers enjoyment too, and particularly, their votes.
