Oh dear. They really are extremely negative. How much better for her if she had chosen the 'oh, it was fine, I just laugh at any problems now' line.

That must have been a VERY unusual tv programme.

You think she 'finally managed to see' the negative looks when the Mail paid her to see them? And not before?

Quote:
“Amy seems to see the best in people and it must be pretty disheartening for her to have seen a jealous female look down her nose at her so much, have others join in, and see Lucy denigrate her in behind her back so much.”

I see no evidence of her seeing the best in anyone. Could you link to the interview where she does?

“Saying 'hate campaign' is a bit OTT perhaps but I'm sure we can all forgive her for saying that as when compared to the bitchy, excluding behaviour it does rather pale in comparison.”

You are really sure that 'we can all forgive her' for constructing an unpleasant lie that substantially spoilt the last few days of two other campmates?

I literally couldn't agree more, and I am sorry that you have received criticism for this post. I am constantly surprised and dismayed by people who only ever come into the forum to abuse the same person over and over again, and never to say anything positive or interesting about anyone. The words 'life', 'a' and 'get' come to mind.

I really think you are exaggerating here. People tend to be attracted by people who look fit and healthy; fertile if you like, but certainly healthy. I don't suppose the Stephen Hawking calendar is a very hot seller - it's all 'sexy firemen', as it is every year, with their healthy hair, good skin, strong muscles and other signs of YOUTH. Mercifully for the human race, the kind of attraction that makes women of all ages appreciate sexy firemen, or men of all ages appreciate people like Amy, is not the only kind. There is also the realistic attraction that enables most of us actually to get laid.

You really think she 'didn't thin it was a big deal' for them to contemplate losing three of their dinners?

It's been said on here that perhaps Amy didn't think it was anywhere near as big a deal as people both in the camp (and indeed on here) have made out.

The fact that no meals were lost in the end (even if they had received a hundred and one warnings) tends to suggest perhaps she was right.

Don't worry, other than a men's mag pin-up, I would make an educated guess she's never going to become a professional anything.

I see she is trying to win the public over, with the sympathy vote. I can see right through her false act.

At the end of the day, she should have helped herself and stopped being lazy and selfish, but she chose to put herself before her campmates and played the victim, trying to get the sympathy vote. Thank goodness the public saw through her act in the end.

Have a look at the comments.

It seems a hell of a lot of people have too.

Thank goodness.

I am referring to her seeing things once out of the jungle (bitchy comments, sneery looks' etc). All campmates will see things once they leave that they didn't see whilst in there (especially things said behind their back).I have no doubt she noticed some of this in the jungle but to her credit never rose to it, or bitched back at Lucy. Admirable in a way don't you think?

Not sure they've stuck it on youtube yet, but if they do, I'll stick up a link for you seeing as you asked so nicely.

I'd like to think that some of the more extreme posters that seem to think she is the devil incarnate for what really are relatively insignificant things, CAN all 'forgive' a contestant on a reality tv show, yes. In the greater scheme of things, I don't really think it is all that important.

No. I would never be so bold as to say ANY of them 'knew' that they would get away with it when they were all complicit to a certain extent re contraband. They all took the gamble, some just 'gambled' more than others.

You need to understand that none of the is the POINT.

Amy revealed herself to be both selfish, insensitive and trivial.

To all of the campmates and to the public.

That's a bit insulting to women don't you think? Saying a young woman basically won't amount to anything/ they are good for nothing but lads mags etc is just a touch too much no?

Some people on here are very selective with which posts are acceptable when it comes to demeaning females, and which aren't. These kind of posts (of which there are many) tend to get glossed over.

Exactly. I think Amy supporters miss the point a lot and try to excuse anything.

I cannot wait for the women, Amy labels as 'bitches', to have their say. Let Amy have her desperate five minutes of fame and publicity.

On the cooking of the beans - Laila told Lucy soaking then frying the beans - that 'they tasted like shit.'

So Lucy said said she would do the usual longer method. Amy said 'They still taste like shit.' just because she didn't get her own way! She doesn't cook the damned things nor did she offer to cook them! David commented on this in the telegraph.

Ampongst all the others things Amy has continued to lie even now she left the jungle.

If we have to call anyone a bitch, Amy has been the biggest bitch out of everyone else put together!

Some people on here as so blinkered to the overall the IAC bitch - Amy.

I hate the expression but can I add a back stabbing liar to try to justify or deflect from her bad behaviour.. She has a lot of explaining to do with many campmantes now.

Judging by Kian's disgust with her for saying that and his support of Lucy it didn't seem to be the first time she'd been so damned rude.Of course this was in ITV's manipulative decision to let a few truths out about Amy just before the end.

Indeed. Re the bean cooking, just another example of how self-absorbed and ill-mannered Amy is. Lucy did her best all the way through to make the food as palatable as possible and to have someone just dismiss her efforts like that was at best, ingratitude and really bad manners, as evident by the expression on David's face at the time.

Yes. I think they panicked a bit towards the end that she could actually win if they didn't show some more balanced editing. She is not someone I would want to have to work with.

That's something I've thought about regarding her future. She has now earned herself a bad reputation from the two TV shows she's done and for similar reasons. This show has brought out new negative aspects of her personality. Anyone employing her, unless she stops this behaviour and then it will need to be proved, will be very wary indeed.
She wanted to be the new Katie Price, then screwed that up with not complying with the terms of the show and as much as I dislike Katie Price, she doesn't have many of the negative attributes that Amy demonstrates.

If only there had been a campmate this year similar Janice Dickenson..... Then Amy really would have discovered what it was like to be "ripped to pieces".

She was very lucky that she was with tolerant people on the whole. Any telling off she got and that was mainly from Matthew Wright I agreed with. Steve's irony in his questioning of her and exposing her lies about how much sleep she needed went right over her head. Many previous campmates wouldn't have put up with her behaviour at all.

Oh yes. I was thinking the other day when people were slagging off Lucy that Janice and Janet Street Porter were much worse. They would have blown. Perhaps the producers were hoping that Lucy would but she kept her cool.

They were incredibly tolerant I thought. Much of the comment aimed at her was subtle and she was too self absorbed to even notice it.

I'm not insulting women in general - far from it. I'm saying, from what I've seen of Amy and her 'career' choice, my opinion is that she will milk the media for all it's worth while she's able and when that work dries up, she will marry or shack up with someone equally vacuous and have celebrity babies.

And no, I don't have a crystal ball, but I've seen it happen a hundred times from Jade Goody to Katie Price to Kim Kardashian and all those in between, and have learnt to recognise 'the type'. I'd love to be proved wrong, but only time will tell.

Gosh, yes. Janet Street Porter would certainly have had something to say to her as would Nicola McLean and Katie Hopkins. Perhaps one day they will do an ultimate I'm a Celebrity as they did with Big Brother... Would be amazing viewing!!
