Blatant anti Nicholas bias
They're not even trying to hide it now. First on more than anybody, tortuous or boring songs to sing. No wonder he was upset last night, and seeing his 'mentor' and Mrs O having a good laugh while he tried to perform must have been horrible for him. Sharon obviously knows that he is Sam's one threat and her thinly disguised viciousness towards him is disgusting. I hope Nicky does get a huge deluge of support tonight just to stick the fingers up to Xfactor producers and the rest pulling the puppet strings.

But he is a bland and boring performer
Sometimes the problem is more obvious than one thinks |

He'll flop anyway if he wins - so you can see why they would want rid.
Also voting for him to go through is lining the pockets of the people supposedly screwing him over. So er nice bit of sense there |

He'll be Leon Jackson number 2, who was such a big flop he had to cancel gigs because or poor ticket sales if I remember correctly

I felt sorry for Nicholas last night even before he started to sing that song that was not at all suitable for him!
Those two 'squeaky moments' were the only times in the series when he didn't appear to be on top form and it's not surprising his voice 'cracked' when he looked out and saw his mentor and Mrs O laughing and seeming not to be interested in his singing! His successful Elton John song more than made up for the awful Beyonce song! |

Remember Christopher Maloney? This is not new, nor is it despicable from a business perspective.

Byrne, Devlin, Maloney...it's been going on for years. If the producers don't want you to win, you probably won't.

I do feel it might be best for Nicholas to leave tonight. Winning would not be a good thing for him - the curse of the XF would likely ruin him. He seems a nice kid, much like Leon, and I would hate to see him become the brunt of jokes and ridicule the way Leon did. Better to get out, go on the tour and pocket the cash and then decide what direction he wants to go without the added pressure of this show.

Well he is helping it along - he performed badly last week and first song last night was atrocious. Based on the tears last night, he's also too young for the industry.
For all Louis bangs on about him being only 17, it seems to escape his notice that Luke is only 17. Just that he seems more mature and in touch with who he is musically |

When they start giving you bland song choices, lukewarm comments and sticking you on early week after week after week- you know you're doomed.

I was nearly laughing at how blatant their attempts were last night. It would have been obvious to all and sundry that he was struggling badly with the first Beyonce song in rehearsals, but they still forced him to sing it.
It does show you what a sham of a programme it is....giving acts deliberately terrible song choices to try and make them look bad (and I'm not even a Nicholas fan). |

He's rubbish. And I certainly won't be voting for him because I'm Scottish, and he's Scottish. Which is what Louis keeps suggesting. 'Come on Scotland, get behind Nicolas'. What? Even if he's shite? Nope. Sorry.
However, with regards to Sharon. I've never known what all the fuss was about her return. She has nothing constructive, or helpful to add. She's behaves like a child most of the time. Neither funny, nor clever. In saying that Nicole talks utter shit, most of the time too. And Louis is so out of touch sometimes, he's on another planet. Let's get judges who know a bit more about the industry. Or better still. Cancel the show altogether. Way past its 'best by' date. |

I agree, it's the sheer blatancy of it that gets to me. I don't understand why the producers do this anyway, what difference does it make to them? If he's still there it's because people are voting for him. They'll all end up getting record deals anyway... |

Each to their own. I personally think Nicholas has got a really good voice, albeit he struggled with a song that hit such high notes that most female singers would struggle with.

That's why the producers chose it for him. They looked through Beyonce's back catalogue and tried to find the most unsuitable song possible for him (it's good to know that it is no longer an entertainment show and is just a benefit night for Syco).

He's a nice lad and he can sing but he hasn't found his style the way Luke has so he's ended up looking like a young Daniel o'donnell (Louis can use that one!) with the air grabbing and the face touching etc it all looks very old fashioned. I live across the road from him and I think he should have went out last week! His rendition of Flower of Scotland before the football was very good though.

I've a theory that Louis was actually trying to sabotage Nicholas last night with his 'Scotland' comments and get him voted off, just as he has been ordered to by his paymasters.
