I'm not remotely interested in Fish's storyline, but still, better to have scenes with her than waste time on Barbara.

It will be interesting to see how the Fish Mooney story line pans out as it's just been announced that Jada Pinkett Smith is not returning for Season 2.

I just wish they'd get rid of Barbara!

Not a bad episode to return on. The Ogre plot, despite being the go to type of killer than crime dramas have been overrelying on forever has good potential. Milo Ventimiglia exudes the right amount of creepiness as well, which helps too.

The flashbacks scenes with Jason and Grace worked well in setting up the former's MO as well as the interesting calling card. Both Barbara and Leslie are going to be in danger with Gordon now investigating things.

Nice to see Fish use her wits against Dulmacher and get off that wretched island. Time for her to come back to Gotham now. Liked that she went back for Kelly too.

Oswald planning to kill Maroni is a nice move, though whether or not he'll succeed is hard to say. Canonically he shouln't though, right?

The Bruce/Selina stuff was also great this week. Did not see that little twist coming, 7/10

I'm getting pretty bored with this now , plus - it's getting very Tim Burton-y .

I don't think this series has to worry about canonicallies.

I'm so glad that Barbara wasn't in it this week

I'm bored with Fish, though.

Damn. I take it that means the awful Barbara is in it this week?

I loved this one. It's taken them to nearly the end of the season but finally the writers have found a way to make Barbara actually interesting as a character.

This jaded, world weary version and her connection with Jason/Ogre made for a good episode and it's interesting to see if Barbara will actually survive Jason or become another one of his kills. Not sure which way I want it to go now to be honest.

The Bruce and Selina stuff was also great in this episode, especially as we saw the different moral codes they have but even at this age, they make for a great team so going after Bunderslaw worked well for them.

Nygma killing Kringle's boyfriend was something I thought would happen next season, not this one. Great scenes though his hair went mad as well, didn't it.

Oswald vs. Maroni became a lot more interesting now that Gertrud is aware of her son's killer tendencies as well. Way to make a plotline more interesting.

The Gordon/Bullock/Leslie/Essen scenes were solid but overshadowed by too many other things.

Didn't really miss Fish in this one, 8/10

Fish was an interesting enough character at the start but the show seems to work so much better without her to be honest.

Enjoyable episode and an interesting way to bring Barbara back into play. It'll be interesting to see what way the Penguin/Maroni storyline goes from here.

There must be something wrong when a supporting character is potentially in danger, and you're rooting for the villain-of-the-week (well, fortnight) to kill her instead of rooting for the hero to save her.

I hate Barbara.

Good episode, though not as good as the previous one.

The Ogre plot I was kind of hoping would bleed into the finale but it came to a decent enough conclusion here I guess.

Having Barbara choosing Jason to kill her parents should take the character on a dark path next season, right? I think there's definitely no chance of her and Gordon reuniting. He's definitely moved on with Leslie it seems.

Bullock at the Foxglove brothel was hilarious but he's been a source of humour all season though.

Bruce failed against Bunderslaw but he still has Alfred in his corner and now Lucious Fox too. I like the introduction for the latter in this one.

Nygma couldn't resist with the clue, could he? And neither could Oswald properly pitting Maroni and Falcone against one another, 7/10

Holy hell, that was an interesting finale. Not the best one I've ever seen but delightfully bonkers though in the right way.

Falcone was smart to get the hell out of Gotham, though I imagine he'll be back at some point next season though.

Fish killing Maroni was delightful. He so had it coming and losing him won't be a loss to the show to be honest.

Oswald had to be the one to kill Fish but I wish they had developed their dynamic more in the first season. It would've made Fish's death more impacting.

Liked Selina and Fish actually working together. Liked Bruce and Alfred maybe discovering the Bat Cave too.

Gordon and Bullock had their moments in this episode too.

Barbara going all psycho on Leslie was an interesting development. Possibly a new villain for Season 2?

Nygma looks like he's going to lose it big time next year as well, 7/10

Is it not a little too soon for the bat cave to be turning up? I thought for a moment the secret was going to be that his father was the creator of the Apprentice.

No idea what I thought of that finale to be honest.

Fish seemed to be brought back just to off Meroni, having been basically irrelevant and mostly absent for the later half of the series. It seems rushed and a bit meh. Selina randomly turning on Jim was also a bit as if. What had Fish done/said to get her on board. Some explanation may have been useful.

Saving Falcone also seemed random. He's a crime boss. Not a good guy in any way. So why would Jim want him to reclaim the city?

Normal Barbara bored me. Kidnapped Barbara bored me. Psychotic Barbara bored me. I didn't find it interesting. It felt like something randomly thrown in in an attempt to make her seem interesting.

So I generally found it messy and cobbled together.

I've enjoyed the series though and will be tuning in for series two.

Fast-forwarded thru the Barbara stuff cos it was just stupid.
Didn't mind Fish but Selina's change to "hey Mr Gordon I don't care if you're murdered" felt a tad sharpish.
And as for the fireplace, the whole ending felt like the ending to Lost S1 (ish)
