Although i like Gotham i think it's still struggling to decide wether it wants to be a campy/burtonesque style show or a straight up detective show. Either that or its just trying to mesh the two together :/

Interesting episode but enough with the female character killing, show.

Shame we lost Gertrud but I'm glad Oswald didn't kill his own mother though. His plan to get back at Theo almost worked though.

I do think the Galavan storyline will be resolved soon, now that Gordon is onto Theo. There's no way it can bleed into the second half of the season.

Butch, you'll never be a crime boss. Don't bother even trying. Another character that probably won't survive beyond this season.

Still iffy on Nygma's storyline but some great acting from Cory Michael Smith in this one to be honest.

I hope they have a purpose for Dent this season other than being a Theo supporter.

Bruce/Selina/Silver played out in way too predictable a fashion I thought, 8/10.

I liked episode 7 and I think the show is setting things up nicely.

the trouble with Bruce and Selina story is we see it all too often in shows where the mainguy is hoodwinked by some pretty blonde who betrays him all because he is thinking with the wrong head. You know exactly where this story is going. Selina will expose her and Bruce will be all sorry sorry sorry and try to make it up to her. No doubt in the mean time though she will turn Bruce against Gordon and Alfred too before getting him to sign off on WE.

Enjoyed the Ed story this week. Think I enjoy the more serious Ed than the real one though. He plays that better.

As for Theo, his sister just annoys me. She is just way too good at things to be taken seriously by myself. She has Indiana Jones level skill with a whip doing things that aren't even possible with it. She's a Grade A sniper. She is so cold she will kill a grown man with a heel to the throat. Shes great at interrogation. It's like "Come on! Nobody is that good at sh!t" It's like a computer game where the Penultimate boss (the right hand man) is always waaaaaay more difficult than the games final boss. The final boss is always smart but easy to kill but the right hand man is the grunt but is like Superman with skill and strength throughout the game, killing left right and centre. That's what she's like. Just annoys me because no matter the scenario she'll come along and be able to solve it, like tonight and last week with Butch and the brain washing.

Glad that Alfred's slapping of Selina isn't being forgotten. There needs to be some payback for him.

The Silver St Cloud stuff reminds me of the 'Terra' stuff in the New Teen Titans, back in the 80's, especially the scene where she was shown glammed up and looking far older than her 15 years.

So Tabitha is an expert sniper, but can't shoot a hobbling Penguin from 10 yards?

Figures.

What's the betting that it's Alfred who discovers Silver is a fraud and that Selina was right all along, forcing Alfred to make a grovelling apology to Selina and beg for her help?

Also, how dumb is it of Gordon to tell Galavan he was going after him when he could just have played along with Galavan until the moment was right?

So far I've been really into this second season, it's a lot more fun than the first. More of a main-story and less villain-of-the-week has definitely helped.

Speaking of villains, the guys playing Nygma and Penguin are just great to watch.

Jim Gordon is such a prick.
Why has Bruno Heller written him this way?

Babs really went nuts here. The wedding from hell, the fall and she still managed to survive. I'm not actually what else can be done with the character.

Gordon has been an idiot for a while but he really outdid himself in this episode. Practically everyone was calling him out on his stupidity and he still acted like an idiot.

Leslie deserves better writing. That is all.

At least Theo got arrested in this episode. His story should be drawing to an end then.

I hate that Nygma has been made into a serial killer but I do love the potential alliance with him and Oswald though.

Bruce came close to messing up big time as well, 7/10

He still has very deep feelings for Barbara, I think Lee finally realises this. I think his judgement is being skewed heavily by this.

Nygma and Penguin now probably working together. Gotham has the cutest villains.

After a great start to this season and recent episodes have been very average.Unfortunatly this episode follows that trend.

I was surprised that Theo got caught so early in the season as I thought he would cause more trouble before the villains took over. However I can't remember if his sister got arrested as she may cause chaos to get Theo out!

Although the idea of Penguin and Ngyma teaming up could be interested and it was a pity that Barbara didn't die as her character has gotten very boring

I never thought I would say this but Gotham needs Fish returning to freshen things up!

7/10

Barbara really should have died from the fall, then that could have been it.

But I guess she'll end up in that lab that Bridget was taken to, which I bet will play a role in the second half of the season.

This was an okay episode. Fun in some parts but mainly for the Oswald and Nygma scenes. Those two really do work so well together, don't they?

Nice to see Missy on here or should I call her the Lady and as she survived the episode, we might see her again if we're lucky.

Tabitha sending out assassins to kill Gordon because of Barbara is vomit inducing and inplausible as well for me. Theo was right to call her out on it.

Flamingo had his moments but he needed more airtime to make an impression though.

Barnes got some development but Leslie needs more this season. Gordon's dark side, blah, blah, whatever at this rate.

No Bullock this week, shame that.

Selina and Alfred might be right about Silver but it seemed like Bruce was already aware that she's playing him though, 7/10

All I could think about when Flamingo was on screen was 'Is that one Hall or Oates?'

They've really upped the violence this season, crikey!

Loved all the Oswald and Ed scenes.

This is another show I liked first season last year and haven't really been that impressed with this series.

This is supposed to be pillar of the community. Saviour of Gotham will be right hand man of Batman Jim Gordon.

He's acting like a petty thug this series.

It took all of ten seconds to dethrone penguin, considering they spent the entirety of season one building to having him take over from Fish, Falcone and Meroni they threw it all away pretty quickly. You'd have thought someone who used his brain to take down long term crime lords would be able to out smart Gallivan. Or at least equal him. You'd have also thought he would have had his mother protected. Given that she's his weakness.

Barbara is utterly yawn worthy. And anything involving her just bores me. She should have been killed off long ago.

I can't find myself to be interested in Nygma either.

Why on earth would Selina help Bruce after the way he treated her?

And did everyone else instantly guess something nasty would happen to Officer Parks after Gordon congratulated her?

Gotham PD recruitment slogan probably is "Sign up and Die Horribly"*

The first season had potential and some interesting supporting characters and dynamics (Fish, Maroni, Falcone) but this second season is just dire. Galavan and his expert-at-everything sister are boring and can't carry the story. Barbara and Lee are tedious. Gordon is, as the song goes, a moron and getting more irritating each week. They've brought kingpin Penguin down in a few episodes after spending so long building him up and they've turned Nygma into an drab serial killer. Bruce remains as dull as ever.

The only characters I like, Alfred, Selina and Bullock, get crumbs. It's all a bit of a disaster.

Because, she loves him. It's canon in the comics and in every version of Batman!

I actually thought she'd die the next episode.

They might as well have gone the whole hog and had her be a week from retirement.

Killing a rookie is as much a trope as killing someone about to retire.
