Liked this one. Bruce and Selina teaming up to trick Silver was actually pretty clever and fairly paid off. I think this might have been one of the best episodes with those two.

Gordon's stupidity continues to be a thing that he allowed Theo to needle him and then got the crap kicked out of him too. He really needs to start getting smarter now.

Oswald and Nygma still have some good moments even if they were few in this one. Nygma's drawing attention to himself though.

Loved the Tabitha and Alfred face off. That was a great scene.

At least this Brotherhood plot will be done with by next week, 7/10

Can anyone explain the conversation at the end between Bruce and Selena? Is he hinting that he's got a deep connection with her or is he being direct and saying he's really in love with Silver? To me, it seems that Selena knows he's talking about her but the teaser for next week seems to show it's about Silver...

Not seen the teaser but it was obvious to me he was talking about Selina.

It was quite clear that he was saying he had feelings for Selina.

He told Selina what he said to Silver.

Selina asked if it was true.

He said yes... but that he felt it about someone else and *not* Silver.

Yes, which ties in nicely with their future liaison as adults. This was the episode where Bruce Wayne realizes what he has right in front of him, and starts getting smart. Before this, he was a silly little boy struggling badly. Now, once Alfred is retrieved from the trash, or gets home in time to smack Gallivant, we're on track for the birth of the Batman. A scene which will surely be the very last frame of the last series of Gotham.

Final scene of the series for me is Bruce setting off around the world, to learn more things he needs to be Batman. No way I can see the thing running long enough for Lil' Bruce being grown up enough to portray Batman convincingly.

Please let the awful Galavan and his sister die next week. Just when you think it can't get any worse - here come the monks. This season has been dreadful in all manner of ways but especially in the bad guys. The first season wasn't exactly great but at least it had some suspense and decent character dynamics in the Penguin-Fish-Falcone-Maroni struggle. This season's cardboard baddies have just sucked the life out of it.

This episode at least had a good sequence, Bruce and Selina playing Silver, and the excellent Alfred got a fight scene, though he let me down by not killing the sister.

Yes, on reflection I think I prefer your version of events. Makes more sense, and would feel a lot more convincing.

I'm enjoying this series. Great character development. I agree that Galavant is a pain, though, and would like to see him finished of by Penguin next week. But what I'm really hoping for is that in the last episode we find that the young Joker is not dead, but revived in the clandestine Wayne Industries lab.

Hasn't Bruno Heller already said that the show isn't about Bruce Wayne becoming Batman and this is Jim Gordon's story?

It's also set in a completely different universe to the series' canon so they're free to do anything. Hopefully this Bruce Wayne will get killed

It's tonight's episode the season finale or the mid-season finale before it takes a break for a while?

It's only halfway through Season 2 tonight (Episode 11). It's back in the US on February 29th as FOX are airing the 'X Files' reboot from January 24th to February 22nd.

I seem to remember the ratings nosedived the last time it went on mid-season hiatus and have never recovered.

This set up more stuff than it actually solved but at least the Brotherhood stuff is out of the way though.

Theo now becomes an experiment for Indian Hill and Tabitha/Silver will obviously be back as well.

Mr Freeze's intro at the end was odd but it got my attention though.

Liked the variety of characters teaming together to save Bruce as well. 7/10

Yes interesting they chose to have Gordon become killer, albeit he may be redeemed if Dr Strange resurrects Galavan.

They hadn't much of a choice last season but to do a 6-week hiatus in the spring since it only got the extra 6 episode pick up midway through so they would have had to do some rewriting and continue filming. Without the extra episodes the season would have ended in early March.

I don't mind the extended break since it means the remaining episodes will air in a single run until May, which is much better than having a break every two to three weeks. ABC are also airing their dramas in 2 single blocks.

There's a pale skinned young man with redish hair in one of the tanks.

The hair certainly suggests it's her (though did she have the Red streaks in her hair after coming back to Gotham?)

I've watched the scene several times and not spotted anyone like that?

The possible Jerome is in the tank on the left when we first get a view from behind the tanks, his tank is only in view for a second before we pan over to Fish's tank.

It's obviously not the actress but it's meant to be the character, her hair style is the same as it was when she died (i checked) complete with being shaved on the side of her head with metal studs.

Yea it was shaved while on the doctors island wasn't it? I think there will be a few "easter eggs" of sorts in that place. Might not be actual actors who played them but you'll get the ideas, in this case from the hair style.
Might be like arrow where they teased Harley Quinn with the suicide squad back when it first showed them. Was only a voice in a dark cell but you knew.... You knew! There was enough there to join the dots, as with Gotham and the lab

I loved this one. A great way of introducing Freeze's character and Nathan Darrow is brilliant in the role. Definitely influenced by Batman: The Animated Series episode Heart Of Ice and all the better for it too.

I actually want Victor to not get arrested by Gordon/Bullock as well. Felt bad for poor Nora in this one too.

Hugo Strange is creepy. He scares me and even Oswald looked freaked out by him towards the end of the episode. Looks like they're moving forward with the Indian Hill storyline too.

I really hope we lose Barnes. He adds nothing to the show. No offence to the actor.

Butch as King of Gotham won't last but it's amusing and Tabitha kind of works with him. 8/10
