Not sure what I just watched with this episode. The pendulum has swung properly towards Schumacher territory with this weeks viewing lol
Did enjoy seeing Falcone again though. Racked my brain as to who the bald head was before the reveal.

Presumably she'll be missing for the rest of the season as the actress has just given birth to Jim's baby in real life.

Morena Baccarin was impregnated by Ben McKenzie. I didn't realise that they were actually together. Nice one Ben.

Glad to see Carmine Falcone back, hopefully he sticks around a bit.

I enjoy the little references to past characters and moments. Like the Warden being friends with former Commissioner Loeb, and the prisoner being related to one of the members of the Red Hood gang from season 1.

Paul Reubens also played Penguin's father in the film Batman Returns.

I thought I recognised him from somewhere, then it suddenly hit me that it's Pee-wee Herman.

Really surprised that Nygma actually got caught and sent to Arkham. That was genuinely unexpected but it's an interesting development to see happen.

Gordon clearing his name I did expect and I did like that he worked with Bruce and Selina in order to get Nygma to reveal everything as well.

Not sure if Barbara is genuinely rehabilitated or not but I am intrigued by her being released into the general public. Hugo certainly has an idea of what he's doing though.

Oswald turning on Grace and her kids was pretty gruesome, even for this show.

Bruce and Selina had some great scenes but he made the right choice here, 8/10

Superb episode.

Penguin feeding grace her two kids was dark but pretty cool and shows he's back to "normal."

Nygma won't be in Arkham long.

Penguin to Grace: "You said that they tasted the same. I think Sasha was more tender....in my opinion".

Killing his step sister and brother. OK. Feeding them to their mother. OK. Stabbing her. OK.

But killing the dog! TOO FAR, PENGUIN, TOO FAR!

I'm sorry that's the end for the street adventures of Baby Bat and Cat. I'd like to have seen more of them in the city.

I thought he was going to cook and feed them the poisoned dog at first (and thus poison them) but when we saw she was alone at the table I realised I was wrong

Was that wine Penguin was drinking after he killed the step-mother?

Great episode. Gordon and Barbara teaming up was oddly fun and Barbara felt pretty unpredictable as a character as well. It's almost a shame she went back to Tabitha and Butch though.

The Lady is an interesting character but they could do some more with her, right?

Hugo Strange is involved in the Wayne murders? Not sure how I actually feel about that one to be honest. I do like him and Peabody though.

Victor emerged too soon as Freeze and I was disappointed we lost Karen as I liked her scenes with Bruce and Alfred this week.

Theo as Azrael is not something I saw coming, 8/10

Bruce and Alfred taking the high-ground after breaking into someone's house, erm hut. If she'd lashed out again and Alfred shot her, methinks when he said to the police "it was justified cos she attacked me" they'da given him a "Seriously?!" shake of their heads.

When he was shouting Azrael I got a little excited.

Having no idea (with regards to DC comics) who he is I can't say I did.

Have since looked him up.

Well Hugo has got at least two more corpses to bring back before he gets stopped but given Galavan hasn't come back quite his old self I wonder what the others will be like.

Jim is in the clear now, since Galavan's not dead Jim can't be guilty of murder and Lee will have to apologize for calling him a liar.

Also, Penguin has another chance to beat him to death!

I thought the actor who plays Bruce did a superb job of showing Bruces pain when Karen died.

This show continues to deliver and grow in strength week after week.

Unfortunately that's not reflected in its ratings which remain very flat:

He's usually a pretty cool figure in Batman, not sure he will be quite so great with it being Galavan though, but it will be great having him nonetheless.

We at least have a third season to look forward to. I've been enjoying the second half of this season so far.

I do enjoy Gotham however, Gordon continues to annoy me with his stupidity! Going to Hugo and basically telling him he knows he's the "baddie". Him doing that resulted in the deaths of a number of police officers!

Hey Ho, still a thoroughly enjoyable episode, nice to see young Bruce taking note of how useless the police are at getting things done, and seeing Azrael do his "thing".

Not having read the comics I don't know a great deal about Azrael, in fact my only knowledge of him is from the game Arkham Knight.

Bonkers episode and one of the best we've had too.

I wasn't sure about Theo as Azrael but it surprisingly worked well and was so gloriously OTT I found the whole thing amusing. Also if this was Barnes exit too then it's a pretty decent one to rid the character.

Nygma in Arkham has turned out to be a great move too. Never mind Gordon, it should be Ed that Hugo should be worried about as a threat to his work now that he's become privy to Indian Hill as well.

The various reactions to Theo being alive were great, especially Oswald and Gordon's.

Loved Bruce standing up to both Gordon and Barnes in this episode too.

The fact that Barbara scares Butch is actually pretty amusing. Not that I blame Butch or anything, 8/10
