Surprised they didn't show Bruce taking notes.

When Gordon and the police chief rushed to the rooftop, why did the police chief leave Gordon behind and put a bar through the door to block it from entry?

Then Azrael broke through the door, killed the police chief, and then Gordon comes running through the door but too late.
What the hell was that?

Is this another case of convenient continuity to serve the plot, like when Penguin went missing when Gordon confronted Galavan and Tabby escaped , then Penguin suddenly reappeared after the scene with Gordon and Galavan had played out?

I think this needs a term for it, when a main character in a series inexplicably goes missing, and then suddenly reappears at the last minute and you wonder where they suddenly disappeared to only to reappear at the end, and why.
They should probably call it the 'Character needs to go to the toilet' scene.

The storytelling seems to be getting very sloppy and too casual.

Gordon went to get a bigger gun whilst the chief lured him to the roof

Is it me or is Dr Strange channelling Jeffrey Combs somewhat?

Crazy episode .

^this. We heard the Chief say out loud "let's skip to the roof, old bean" (ish), then say quietly to Gordon "get a BFG". So Azrael thinks they're both going to the roof and heads off there. The bar across the door was meant to delay Azrael long enough for Gordon to get there with that gun. Guess it didn't delay him long enough.

My quibble with the whole Azrael thing was where the heck did all his super jumping and fighting abilities come from ? I don't remember the Mayor being so athletic. And telling someone "hey you're Azrael, an uber skilled killer" doesn't immediately give you those uber-skills.

Loved it, another totally bonkers episodes.

Azrael's destruction courtesy of Oswald and Butch was pretty damn satisfying to watch see onscreen. The character had a fine enough run but here was a good one to end it on.

With both Barnes and Tabitha in comas, I honestly think one of them won't be making it into Season 3, if not both of them.

Wouldn't it be cool if Bullock became commissioner? I felt like this episode was hinting at the idea and I'm more than okay with it.

Gordon was fairly useless in this episode. Not annoying but he didn't really contribute much though.

Pretty sure we briefly saw Killer Croc in this episode. Loved the banter with Selina and Nygma as well. Wish there had been more.

The cliffhanger with Selina/Firefly as Strange and Peabody watched was great, 8/10

The music that started playing when butch appeared with a launcher, golden.

I'm taking the rocket launcher scene as a shout out to Buffy.

Loved seeing Selina doing her thing. Not sure about her getting a nice new hair do whilst living on the streets.

Gordon and Alfred were both idiots this week.

Alfred had the chance to simply shoot Azrael in the face, but didn't.

And then later on, Gordon shot Azrael in the torso, seemingly forgetting that every time that had been tried previously it didn't work because of the armour. Once Azrael was down, Gordon should have shot him in the face.

I liked the bazooka, though.

i'm pretty certain if suicide squad film wasn't coming out we'd have some sort of SS in gotham, even though this has nothing to do with the episode, i welcome the return of Mr J

I felt cheated that Penguin didn't get to beat Galavan slowly to death and shove that umbrella where he said he was going to.

Has anyone else noticed that at this rate there won't be any villains left for Batman to fight?

Given that Bruce doesn't become Batman till he's 25, I doubt this series will ever get up to that point.

In the current comic version of Batman he doesn't become Batman until he is 25. This is the TV version, and a completely seperate continuity. If they want him in a bat suit at 19, they are entitled to do so.

Penguin, ha. Such a great character and actor.

Have to admit they might have pinched that scene from an early episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer though.

Sure, but there is another problem. The actor playing Bruce Wayne does an excellent job, but he's not the biggest of fellows. Batman, has to have a real physical presence, and he may not be convincing enough.

So they may need to recast the role of Bruce Wayne, if they want to go all the way up to Batman, and if they do that then the series may as well take a jump five or so years ahead. Fortunately, this is a series centered around Jim Gordon, so recasting would probably be acceptable.

Fish is back and it seems a little bit superpowered as well. If she's killed off next week by Oswald, then her return will amount to nothing, so y'know, show don't kill her off immediately. Just saying is all.

Who are Hugo's bosses? I'm intrigued by them.

Knew Hugo would be able to outsmart Bruce, Gordon and Lucius. Nygma working for Strange now is a bad idea but a fascinating one too.

The Gordon/Clayface thing at the end was a good twist too.

Loved Bullock/Alfred's banter and seeing Ivy again was nice. Selina was also pretty smart in how she dealt with Bridget/Firefly as well, 8/10

The technology to bring people back from the dead, but they still watch ancient televisions? Fish being back is annoying, bring that kid Joker back at least he was a decent actor.

We saw what appeared to be his body in a tank next to Fish weeks ago so he'll likely be back at some point.

Probably the last shot of the season I would guess.

Just watched the final. Sets things up nicely for next season. So happy Fish is back in the game!

Good finale. They didn't so much resolve the Indian Hill plot but had Fish escape with a band of monsters and a Bruce clone of sorts on the loose as well. This should be fun next season.

Kinda of cool to see Hugo get iced by Freeze and burned by Firefly and still survive. He's been a truly fun villain to have around this season.

The Clayface/Gordon thing was ridiculous but I did laugh that it was Barbara who sussed out what was going on.

Alfred has accepted that Bruce is gonna keep digging with Selina and Bullock is basically running GCPD now as well. Gordon going after Leslie was his best move really.

Oswald's reaction to Fish being alive was priceless though, 7/10
