He'd have a bow-tie if he were a bear, though his fat little muzzle is a bit bearish...

I'm alerting this post.

Dear moddies,
please can you tell us why we have a kitty smiley? He's great. Please don't take him away, but what is he meant to mean please?
Thank you

Patrick is one of my favourites. Or at any rate I sit up and take notice when it's his turn to dance. In previous years I have liked some of the more mature celebrities with a background in performance e.g. Pamela Stephenson. It's as if they can bring a lot of emotion and depth of experience to their dancing, and I seem to respond to this more than the athleticism which the younger celebrities can display...

I agree with this and it's probably because they've both in the DO and the judges are afraid of losing them before their time. I hate to say this because I like Patrick but watching the DO back last night I think Ashley should have stayed instead. There does seem to be an agenda NOT to have a young male contestant win again after Harry and Louis in the years before.

Why do they like him? He has rhythm and a feel for movement and music. He performs well. He isn't just good at ballroom or Latin. He's equally good/bad at both. He prob won't get any further now though because he has a job as well as this so two dances are going to tell on him more than the others, and, for whatever reason, the audience doesn't seem to want what he has to offer. Perplexes me because he has a lot of standout dances so far but there ya go

The BBC thing that people keep on about always seems to me bollocks! Not proven. The corporation is too huge to be fully integrated. In any case, Patrick has had issues with them in the past over perceived racism against black actors. For making that statement he got black-balled for ten years, he says. That's not so blue-eyed ”

You can find an interview with him about it here: On a side note,He's been very vocal in his criticism of the BBC in the past:

Isn't it used to act cute? Do monkeys act cute?
I'm more puzzled by this one:

I think we are all puzzled by that one Spin. I don't know what it is let alone what to do with it.

I like the cat ( although I still thing it looks bear like) but I am unsure if it means, as you say, aahhww cute or 'Meow' catty comment. The ambiguity and likelihood of misunderstanding puts me off using it.

Agree with this, I had Ashley as the winner on launch night due to previous series. Casting a series of average men (bar Ben) and femme fatales seems to have paid off.

I hadn't noticed that he was the judges' favourite but I believe they admire his hard work, good spirit, fun and cleverness.

I don't know if Patrick is the judges favourite, but he is mine, and he is the best, and he should be your too, and that should be enough, but it won't be.

Oh, like raised eyebrows. I thought it was 'aloof' or 'snooty', like putting your head in the air.
It could also be an aerial shot of a space-hopper

Yeah, I've never really understood why it's supposed to be surprise either

According to Wikipedia,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_emoticons and elsewhere on the internet is supposed to be an eastern emoticon for joyful although it does look more like raised eyebrows/eye rolling and so I can see why it is used that way.

I would have liked to have seen a 'yay' or 'cheerleader' smiley.
