Ipad Air or Ipad 4

Thinking about getting a tablet but unsure which of the above to get.

I would appreciate any comments from Forum members on both tablets. Based on what little I have seen so far, I think the Air is probably a better unit.

Your comments would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you and merry Christmas to all.

The Air is about 2/3 of the weight of the iPad 4 and is smaller and thinner (and faster) as well.

It is the better unit - BUT the 4 is not bad at all either! If you got a really good deal on it it might be worth considering!

The iPad 4 is more solidly built (double sheet of glass for the screen) and apparently the colour reproduction is better. It's also cheaper than the Air.

The Air is thinner, lighter, and has the new faster 64-bit CPU.

It was a simple decision for me as the iPad4 would lose the wireless connection every few minutes, which made it aggravating to use.

My iPad Air connects flawlessly and quickly, and maintains connection, which may be due to the dual-antennae setup. Not everyone has been so lucky, however; a few people still complain about dropped wireless connection even with the iPad Air.

There are also some other minor improvements, such as nighttime Skype calls appearing better and the addition of another speaker for stereo, rather than monoaural, sound.

Now that I've gotten used to how light the iPad Air is, I wouldn't want to go back to a heavier iPad.

But the color reproduction looks the same to me on either unit, and Target was selling them at the same price.
