At the end of the day, some people really want to see what they want to see concerning their favourites so I don't really think that all these various polls matter in the grand scheme of things .

How dare DS folk individually vote how they want to in answer to the specific question, and not how I want them to vote, the deluded souls.

It's a disgrace, I tell you, a disgrace.

Oh, and OP, before you sound off about different polls, try maybe comparing like with like. There is an important difference between "Week 11 : Who was your favourite couple ?" and "Who is your favourite ?"

You also say "even in a small sample" as if that's something positive. All things being equal, a smaller sample is less reliable.

The truth though, more importantly, is thal all polls, where not from a totally random population, are very much effected by to whom they are asked. I doubt DS or Hello readers are particulatly representative, but the polls do give some vague indication and are quite fun to see.

Hello magazine does not qualify as 'the real world'.
