Humax HDR-2000T and Accurate Recording

I used to have a 9200T and never used the Accurate Recording feature since I found it, well, rather inaccurate. I always used a start and end padding.

After upgrading to a HDR-2000T I'm wondering if it's worth switching back to accurate recording.

Is it better these days?

Do I turn it on just by setting the padding to 0 mins at start and end?

The main channels are pretty reliable. Yes just remove padding to enable.

Thanks everyone, I'll give it a whirl.

Graham, what do you classify as the 'main' channels? All the BBC provided ones, ITV and C4/More 4?

BBC ITV Channel 4 family and Channel 5 which was poor seems much improved.

If you find a specific problem with a specific programme you can set a manual recording with the appropriate repeat pattern. I had to do this with C5 lunchtime soaps for the better half. These now work OK on series record with no padding.
