Replace Humax Foxsat with HDR 1000S?
The UI on the Foxsat is possibly one of the worst I have ever seen (it's not a patch on the FOX-T2's) and I've hated it since I first got the box.
I'm now in a position to replace it and am looking at the HDR 1000S but am keen to know that Humax have made significant improvements like not muting sound when the EPG is displayed, not having to wait for deletes to be completed and junking the awful file manager routines. Finally, is there a new model likely to replace it soon? |

No sound muting when you display the epg (neither does the Foxsat if you display the cached epg).
You don't have to wait for deletes to complete. As you can't copy recordings of the box there is no file manager as such. |

Thanks.
I was aware of the press schedule, press red workaround for the EPG but it was just an example of a seriously badly thought out UI. The absence of the file manager is welcome though I did seem to find myself in there when trying to delete multiple recordings. Is the 1000S, on the whole, as easy and intuitive to use as the T2? |

It lacks the massive advantage that the Custom Firmwares give to both the Foxsat-hdr and the HDR-FOX T2. |
