I've literally just seen this on Facebook. My "stop spending all of my money on cds" rule will be out by the time this is released. I still love "Same Trailer...".
An early review of Pageant Material which couldn't be more complimentary. I've never heard of this website and I'm not sure how they got hold of the album so early it's made me more excited for the release! http://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=296075 Also, I find it strange that the album isn't available for pre-order yet on iTunes? |

Thanks for the link!
![]() I'm so excited for this album. Amazon have started charging almost £19 for brand new albums now. Possibly because they've put their free postage up to £20. I don't know when they started doing this. I'm surprised that iTunes don't have it up for pre-order yet. It might become available within the next couple of weeks. |

I'm so excited for this album.
Looking forward to the video for "Biscuits" too. I wonder if she'll release "High Time". It's one of my favourite songs by Kacey. |

Thanks for this, I've been checking regularly on iTunes.
I really like High Time, Jo Whiley played the studio version on her radio show on radio 2 last week. She also said Kacey would be appearing as a guest at the start of June but she didn't give a specific date. ![]() |

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05vy9y1 Edited to add that this song is fantastic. It's not a massive departure from the "Same Trailer..." sessions but she's definitely found her sound. |

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05vy9y1 ![]() EDIT: Just looking at how Kacey's charted in the US Country Airplay chart compared to the US Country Chart: "Merry Go 'Round" 14, 10 "Blowin' Smoke" 31, 23 "Follow Your Arrow" 10, 43 "Keep It to Yourself" 40, 32 "Biscuits" 28, 41 The first number is her position in the US country chart and the second is in the US Country Airplay chart. It's interesting how she doesn't seem to have an awful lot of backing from the radio, particularly with Follow Your Arrow considering it's her most successful. It seems to be very hard for female artists to get their music played nowadays. This also seems to be backed up by an article on page 8 of this website, which suggests female artists aren't needed on country radio and are less important. It's a shame. https://www.countryaircheck.com/pdfs/current052615.pdf |

I'll be tuned in. ![]() I think she'll be on about 9:00 as that's when the guests are usually on but I'm not 100% sure.

I've been listening, I thought she sounded really good tonight and she comes across as such a nice person.
![]() It's made me more excited for her album, which is less than three weeks away. I'll definitely be listening again on iPlayer to her performances and her cover of Yellow. On a side note, I loved how she played First Aid Kit, I'm a big fan of them so it's nice to see Kacey likes them.

I like them too. I didn't find this out until quite recently, but she wrote "Master Pretender" and sold it to First Aid Kit.
I've also been listening to Gentle On My Mind by Glen Campbell after she chose it last night, I'll have to listen to more of him. |

Counting down the days until the release of "Pageant Material". It's probably my most anticipated album of the year. Quote:
I didn't know that either!

It's probably my most anticipated album of the year. I need to start listening to more classic country. ![]() ![]() Three other songs I like are: Ode To Billie Joe - Bobbie Gentry Coat Of Many Colours - Dolly Parton Coal Miner's Daughter - Loretta Lynn |

Me too, I only listen to a few older country songs at the moment. I'm a fan of Johnny Cash though.

Pageant Material is now available for pre-order on iTunes now, along with Family Is Family from the album. It's currently 3 on UK country and 44 on the overall US chart.
![]() First big review is 4/5 from AllMusic in case anyone is interested in reviews. (Same Trailer... got the same rating) http://www.allmusic.com/album/pagean...l-mw0002847860 |

Article She seems to disagree a lot with her label ![]() ![]() Thankfully they didn't push back the release of her new album! I admire her for wanting freedom over the singles she releases and when an album is released. EDIT: The album is now in the top 10 in the US iTunes on pre orders alone and is in the top 100 in the UK! Fantastic achievement for a country album and it looks like Pageant Material will come quite a bit higher than 39 in the chart over here like Same Trailer... did.
