In my experience some very 'well bred' beautifully spoken people who would never dream of swearing are often incredibly racist as well as intolerant of the 'lower' classes.

Well personally I don't find that word minor.

To those who say the child will grow up copying what she's seen if this applied to everyone I'd have grown up to be swearing, alcoholic lying chain smoker - when infact I do not drink (except the odd shandy which is twice a year) I have never smoked or wanted to, occasionally swear once in a blue moon but mistakes happen right? And I don't like lies - do all murderers or rapists raise kids who copy them? Sure some kids raised around bad behaviour go on to offend too but it's in the individual people and not something everyone who ever witnesses bad behaviour grows into

Not in my home! The old bloody or bugger but never ever the F word or the C word. How can you expect your kids not to use that sort of language if you do it yourself?

I don't know, I was always horribly embarrassed by my mother when she swore and rarely do it myself.

Now we go from friends and family being offended by their celeb being dissed on a forum, to little children distressed and howling in horror that mummy or daddy dared say Lucy and co were bullies and Lucy's plastic surgery was a waste of time and money that she should have spent on acting and elocution lessons so that she could play a character other than one based on her true self.
Reality check----Lucy was NOT called an effer or a *C* on any threads I've read, so I fail to see what your point is regarding the bad language debate.
