This could go one of two ways over time

I've never (well during my adult years) been so hopeful with a new EE exec as I am now. I feel this guy really knows the show and actually loves the show too. I think he'll be good with characters, storylines, writing, casting (as has already been seen) and keeping the cast and crew happy too. This is just my impression taking everything into account and at this moment in time at the very least he seems to be raising morale for both cast and crew and fans. I also get this strange vibe that he's more ambitious than any soap producer has been for quite a while, and wants to make great episodes week after week rather than lots of filler and a few big bangs (let's face it, all the soaps have this as pretty much their pattern). Think he said he wants to make EE the best drama on TV actually.

So hopefully this thread will be full of appreciation soon. But if DTC doesn't deliver, I'm putting in a personal call to Phil Redmond to save the show. You have been warned.

I agree. I'm so happy about the way EE is looking. The show seems so full of life and most of the things I'm looking forward to haven't even been on screen yet.

That's a good way of putting it! On the face of everything we've been hearing, it sounds excellent. But it would be a miracle to completely turn things around instantly. Hopefully it'll just pick up bit by bit, putting the jigsaw together

Yes definitely. Building on what's already there and injecting some new things into it

I'm so excited for his work!! I've always been a big supporter of him when he was story producer. He knows the show so well it does seem and it's going to be massive in 2014!
