There's an article about Sharon planning to help launch her in America

I think if she gets original songs that show off her vocals, absolutely.
She needs to work with Sia and get an album of very strong material. She wont sell much singles over there, but I can see her album selling loads. With Sharon behind her - and Simon if she wins - then she can get on all the right shows over there. |

DEFINITELY EMPHATICALLY NO!!!!! I know she has been overhyped since xf began this year, but this is taking it to the extreme! SHES AN OK SINGER THAT SOUNDS A BIT DATED AND MOVES LIKE SOMEONES MIDDLEAGED MUM AT A WEDDING. Why are people talking about her as if she is the second coming?

You are so right. It is a case of the competition being so bad this year it makes her look good

I want to believe she can but am certainly unsure. She does need to modernise herself but only to an extent since she does need to retain who she is. Whilst I think her and Nicole's duet of AIATY will no doubt be incredible, she shouldn't release that sort of music if she wants longevity in the charts
Wish her luck for this Saturday though and hope she wins |

Shouldn't Sam and Sharon be thinking about making it at home in the UK first? I despise it when acts run off to America without giving their own country a second look.

With the right songs and promotion, I don't see why not - she had a good enough voice.

To be blunt about it, Sam Bailey would be considered the token "big voiced" over if she was in the 2008 X Factor series. It is just that the standard is so low this year that she is being over-hyped.

I think yes. The likes of Ellen DeGeneres and those sort of shows will hype her and I think she'll be seen as a an absolute star, because she is.

No. The US industry has changed a lot, it's even more analytical than ever. Also she has to be marketed in a certain way like everyone does, and I don't know where she'd fit in. Her voice is banging though. But it is NOT about vocals.

Just no, she won't be a success in the uk either.
People move on after a show is over, they don't follow people's career after it's done. The voters will move on back to the voice to see if they can get three atrocious winners in a row. I am sure they will mange it |

Ruth was the only over that year that was decent, and Sam B is easily much better than her. She would still of made the final, easily. |

No one will buy her records. Everyone knows this. The UK public is a sucker for a down to earth house mum with a talent but that doesn't mean anyone will show any interest after the show has finished

The voters are not music buyers either and music buyers are generally not voters |
