I saw it as sarcasm with references to the concealer and makeup.

Did Layla speak like that around Gary's friends or reign it in a bit..

She doesn't act in Eastenders either,Mo IS Layla. They are one and the same person. Diito Helen Flanigan when she played Rosie Webster.”

How very many of us are as common as muck. As someone who has sworn in front of my children AND used the word 'shit' I can only look for something commoner than muck to compare myself with. I understand that hydrogen is the commonest substance. I am as common as hydrogen.

If it is the same conversation I'm thinking of,then Amy was criticising the beans and rice, not necessarily Lucy's cooking.

If it is the same incident where David and Lucy were discussing the beans and saying that they took too long to prepare,Amy told them about the way her and joey prepared them which was quicker ; they said did it taste ok and she said no it tasted horrible and said but so does-I'm not sure if she said Lucy's or the rice and beans taste like whatever - but basically she was saying regardless of which way it's done it taste horrible.

I have heard camp mate after camp mate say that they hated the rice and beans and will never eat another bean again.

At no time were they aiming their comments at the Cook; but this is the first time that a camp mate gets flack for saying it.

Yes, because as far as I can see, this is the first thread that has attacked people for using bad or scatalogical language. I'm not sure where on the spectrum 'shit' fits with 'dump', and if one of them is common as muck and the other one only as common as - I dunno - clean peat based compost - but it is rather inviting the comment for people to jump on someone just for using the word dump.

It was

It was a sarky aside to the fact that up until then, she hadn't seen Amy without make up.

A tiny bit of concealer and lip gloss really doesn't constitute to being 'made up' so pink lips aside she would have looked exactly the same.

So it was just a dig.

I thought Amy looked scarily artificial in that first show particularly with that mad seventies stepford wife hair do and totally mask like makeup.

I actually think Amy does look better without makeup, or a bit of lip gloss and concealer.

I agree with Mo.

If it was also a bit of a dig about the fuss about makeup contraband - so what, it hacked everyone off.

But they were out of the jungle then..

And Mo is meant to be a mature adult not holding a grudge but I suppose allowances should be made for people like that. She strikes me as rather bitter tbh.

I agree Amy looked much better with straight hair but she could never look bad if she tried

I would have been very tempted to tip it over her head.......
and then tell her to sort her own food out

I've just figured out which conversation you mean.

Mo was just telling her off for being so silly - upsetting everyone over a bit of lip gloss, when she looked fine without it.

Rather kindly really.

Oh dear, yes, she said 'shit' too.

But she was being unpleasant and ungrateful. Well, that's all right then

I can't work out if Amy is a bit insecure to speak up due to her age or if on occasion these things maybe go over her head. Or maybe she is just overly polite.

But I certainly wouldn't have taken kindly to Mo's 'telling off'

I wish Amy had stuck up for herself a bit more like when she put Annabel in her place.

Well, the KINDEST thing you can say about Amy's behaviour with the concealer was childish.

And Mo was acting like an adult and kindly telling her off.

I don't suppose Amy liked it much either, tough. She got off lightly.

And when she 'stood up' to Annabel, Amy came across as a petulant, unpleasant fifteen year old.

Well to be fair Annabel was often petulant and unpleasant so she was in good company !

Oh Amy needn't worry too much about the way Mo carried on,the way she conducted herself she has no credibility.

So ...let me get this straight .... Mo says ..dump ...she is common
Steve Davis says sh*t ...no comment

Annabel wasn't petulant

And Amy has no credibility I'm afraid.

Mo uses rough language and she's charmless, but she was right about Amy.

Of course you don't ... Maybe it's because your point is being muted by the fact others said far worse than Mo ... Angelic Amy for example ... Dump isn't as crude as s**t is it? But hey Amy said it so we can't critacise now can we

Anne,Amy was often polite! She was the epitome of restraint.

As Alfonso told her,you have to pick your battles with them. They were constantly having sneaky digs and she maintained her dignity.

I wouldn't of faired so well in that regard as I said. But Amy was young also and I don't think she felt self assured enough to speak up on some occasions.

IIRC it was he who told Lucy ...Amy wasn't worth getting upset about after her nasty comment about the rice n beans

Yes he grasped just how far Lucy had been pushed by this rude spoilt brat.

Annabel considering her advanced years came across as rather immature to me,and not a very pleasant person all round.
And in my eyes, that gave her no credibility.

Couldn't warm to her and obviously nor could the viewing public.
First to go.
