Hey all

Just thought in case anyone wanted to know, just come back from the recording of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown at Media City. I wan't spoil any of the jokes or winners but it was actually a really good show.

As usual Jimmmy Carr was the host.

Sean Lock was joined by Rhod Gilbert.

Jon Richardson was joined by Kevin Bridges.

Susie Dent was joined in Dictionary Corner by Josie Long.

Joe Wilkinson (Who was actually on really good form tonight) joined Rachel Riley.

They said it would Air Friday 3rd of January at 9pm.

They were filming one after, I don't know everyone one but Nick Helm was in Dictionary Corner and Miles Jupp was on one of the teams.

Any questions feel free to ask

Was Joe being a d-head ?

I used to watch the first half hour then turn over when Joe joined the cast

He tries so hard to be wacky which is a shame because on normal 'Cats' he's very understated and much funnier

He was being wacky but I wouldn't say too much. He was carried out on a throne by 4 Guys which was a little much but other than that he was just being quirky...did a funny thing with some Fence Panels with Rhod Gilbert (Actual physical Fence Panels)

To be honest the funniest thing of the night was with Rhod Gilbert, I won't say what it was because it has to be seen to be appreciated.

I won't say anymore about what happened because I think it was one of the better shows and deserves the viewers

She was mainly having banter and competition with Jon Richardson to be honest.

Josie Long isn't funny. That's not opinion, it's fact.

I haven't seen much of her but I'd assume based on the number of Edinburgh Comedy Awards nominations she has received that she IS very funny.

I was at the recording too and loved it.They filmed quite a lot and Joe Richardson was pretty good not as wacky as usual.

It was interesting to see how it's filmed.

Jon is really quick at his comebacks

I loved the Fence Panel bit, Joe is just hillaripus when he is on form.

Yeah was good to see it filmed, there was a lot of banter which probably won't make the final edit but it was good to see

Genuinely astonished they're bring this tedious rubbish back for yet another run.

As a one-off it was fine. As a short run one-off series, it was fine.

Now it is just cheap filler and virtually unwatchable due to that terrible bearded weirdo.

Like with Quiz of the Year they seem to be running these things into the ground.

They were great as a yearly special.

well i like it. it must get decent ratings, otherwise they wouldn't have returned. i wouldn't mind if the big fat quiz of the year got axed though. 2010 was probably the last decent one they did

He's a smug little tosser. Also, why are Sean and Rhod sat differently to what their name plate states ?

Why have Joe Wilkinson on? He ruins it for me. I watch it because of Jimmy Carr, Jon Richardson and Sean Lock.

Well it cant be that tedious and unwatchable other wise they wouldn't have asked them for 4 episodes for January. The show is somewhat of a cult hit

I liked Rhod ringing Carol in particular
