Thought it was below average this week.

The two guest contestants offered little and Joe Wilkinson was worse than ever.

Did anyone else notice that they bleeped the f-word when Jimmy was talking about Sean's Twitter account? Thought this was a bit odd, they don't usually censor swear words on this show. Shortly after, Susie Dent was talking about terms used as insults to men, which included swear words. I found it a bit of a turn-on when Susie talked dirty.

I don't know if they had the air conditioning on or if Rachel was just really excited to meet Bill Bailey but she seemed to have a problem with her headlights earlier in the show.

I'd buy a Susie Dent talking dictionary.

Joe is just a painful waste of time.

Sexyiest female swearer by far is Kirsty Young when she appears on HIGNFY.


Rachel did look well padded out in that dress. Didn't like the hairstyle though.

I must be in the minority but I really enjoyed the episode. For once I actually thought the Joe Wilkinson bit was funny!

I thought it was by far the strongest episode of the series so far.

I thought the dance was fantastic. Mind you, I generally like Joe Wilkinson's contributions which I realise puts me in a minority within this thread.

Thought they were by far the best this series.

We actually laughed at Joe for the FIRST time ever, loved the synchro, we dont find him remotely amusing usually.
Wish Jon would just play the game, he's good at it, pretending he's dumb isn't clever

Jon doesn't pretend to be dumb, he often plays it for laughs by coming up with some silly words. As I said previously, it's primarily a comedy show. If you want the contestants to take it seriously, you can always watch the regular countdown show.

Perhaps next time you should wait until your girlfriend is out before watching Rachel Riley.

And yet Jon still wins almost every week. He isn't playing dumb, if anything he is showing off by winning without even trying.

I was interested to learn that Jo Brand is good at this; enough to go on the proper show multiple times.

I'm gutted that she's been given the Strictly presenting job. I've been watching since the beginning but from this year I'll probably have to watch later and fast forward through her bits.

She's OK on the Film Programme and she'll probably be just as good on SCD as that's on a similar serious level for an Entertainment show (but I don't watch the latter, so I'm just guessing), however for 8...Cats does Countdown Winkers clearly amped up her comic shtick which she doesn't normally do.

No, she really isn`t. They have to bring on two proper critics to compensate for her utter cluelessness.

Surely by now we should be able to watch this show with different camera feeds just so I can select the one that remains on Rachel Riley for the whole hour? She wouldn`t mind would she....?
