I like 8/10 Cats and I like Countdown but have really gone off the mashed version.

Find it surprising they're still doing this, and that's not the first time I've said that

Apart from dictionary corner which depends on how good the guest is, there aren't really any funny bits after the intros for the entire show

Don't see why they don't do normal Cats because it seems like Catsdown is almost more work

Just call her Cheryle (subject to change) and save yourself the trouble, she changes husbands like most of us change wok brogues: every 2 years or so, when things get bad for keeping upp appearances.

I expect Cheryl to be on her 4th husband by the time she comes back for X Factor series 14.

You may be right, but she's only been married once before and that wasn't her fault it ended.

When the last series began, I was thinking "she'll be back to Cole by the end of this!".

Because it has better ratings than either of its parent shows.

I doubt very much it'd have the ratings or longevity of Countdown if it was on every day of the week in the mid afternoon.

I actually enjoy the show. It takes the mickey out of the cobweb ridden normal Countdown ..

Countdown is not cobweb driven, it is an enjoyable show that manages to keep producing most weekdays of the year and is a good contrast to some of the dumbed down game shows like "Deal Or No Deal".

I think a better mickey take was the episode of "The IT Crowd" with the "street Countdown".

She was looking particularly attractive in that sparkly dress this week, but there was something about Katherine Ryan that was even more compelling (to me anyway!).

We were blessed to have two beautiful ladies on the show.

Other than that, it wasn't a great episode. The song about women dating unsuitable men was quite amusing.

Jack Whitehall and the unfunny pillock wit the teeth. Don;t know his name.

Rachel looks stunning, of course, but I think I'll wait for the youtube highlights.

I have no idea what it is, and I think she is playing up to the 'thick' act tonight (at least I hope she is), but there's something about Roisin for me...

I imagine a better time would be had than with the stunning Rachel. Be nice to find out.

I did laugh at the audible gasp when Roisin buzzed the 800-odd point conundrum at the end

Still honestly failing to see the point of Joe Wilkinson though. At least it's towards the very end of the show I suppose so you don't miss much by fast forwarding.

I'm with you, I just do not get Joe Wilkinson. I now watch up until he comes on then just turn off.

It means I never find out who won but I don't think that is much of an issue with this programme.

I do actually stop to find out who wins when i forward it, but you're right though, it doesn't generally matter in the grand scheme of things since Jon was told to ease up.

You have stated on several occasions that you hate this show, yet you still watch it.
