Susie suddenly looking like a twelve year old was a bit of a shock.

I noticed Vic and Bob didn't look exactly impressed by Joe's "act". Also, Rachel seems to stand with her legs quite wide apart on this, yet not on normal coundown. I can't think why this would be.

And yet Sean Lock was pissing himself. I'll take his comedic judgment over the terminally unfunny V&B.

8/10 Does CD is always good. Even when it's bad it's good.

Yeh, Sean, Jon and Jimmy were all pissing themselves! It's funny to watch!

I just don't find Joe Wilkinson funny at all, then again Vic & Bob wasn't the right choice for this program either.

Susie Dent did look like she was up for a laugh with the face paint.

Hmmm .... A particular reaction of mine whenever these so called comedians appear on telly.

Thankfully the 90's are over!!

Agree find Joe Wilkinson about as funny as having a drilled root canal filling and I think I have a pretty good sense of humour. Some people just born lucky eh?

You must surely have him mixed up with Paul "I'm so happy Noel Fielding is my BFF" Foot, a man so unfunny he has to resort to a silver jacket and a ****'s haircut to make up for his woeful comedic shortcomings.

Probably like most of the audience.
Sean Lock pissing himself at it tell you what he thinks about the rest of the show.

It used to be 10 minutes most for the intros. Then it got to 15 minutes. It was around 20 last night before they got into the game.

The show is over saturated and needs a rest. Two or three specials a year would do.

Humour is subjective. Who knew?

No Jon on next week's episode - apparently Sarah Millican is standing in as captain, which i'm sure will delight many

Anyway, I suspect they'll probably do more with Wilkinson under some misguided feeling that he can compensate for Jon not being there.

No matter though, i'm so used to him appearing around the 40 minute mark, i just keep the fast forward on and skip his 'contribution'.

I don't think Noel Fielding is that good. He was OK as Richmond in The IT Crowd but doing stand-up or appearing on panel shows there's many better options.

I don't particularly rate him either but the point being made there was that Foot rides on his coat-tails relentlessly. I doubt many of us would've heard of him if Fielding hadn't helped him get onto telly.

I've noticed last week they only did 2 numbers rounds instead of 3 and didn't do any dictionary corner pieces so they must have let the other sections run on longer.

I was at one of the filmings for a show in an earlier series. They started filming at around 6pm. Now without any breaks it was around 6.50 before they got to the first letter's game (That 50 minutes got edited down to around 12 minutes for the actual program) It was around 7 before they started filming the second part. At around 7.50 they hadn't got on to the final part of the show (the audience for the later filming were due to be let in to the studio at 8) and Jimmy started playing noughts and crosses with Rachel. Sean looked completely fed up by that point and shouted at Jimmy to get on with the show.

He's probably as bored with the thing as everyone I know is.

Honestly, it was amusing as a one-off but it is SO BORING. It is repetitive, tacky and just not very funny. It also fails as a quiz/gameshow as they don't take the questions seriously. Its appalling and should be cancelled!

It's just very contrived. The humour rarely arises from the words or the numbers; it arises from things like the mascots and the skits Jimmy does during the clock.

Oh look, it's another "I don't like it, so it should be cancelled" comment.

Maybe you and everyone you know should just stop watching it if you all find it so boring.

I still find this show much better than the proper 8OO10C. It's something different to the usual panel shows about the week.

Although I would be happy with much less Joe Wilkinson.

We don't watch it. We got bored of it after about 4 episodes. Sadly, It takes up what used to be a really good slot on Channel4.

I don't think the ordinary 8 Out of 10 Cats is that good but it's better than the usual BBC alternative on a Friday evening (Have I Got News For You.)

8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown gets higher audience figures than both 8 Out of 10 Cats and ordinary Countdown, which would make it difficult for Channel 4 or the production companies to drop it.

Personally I think they need to add some more twists to it if they want to carry on doing it.

One week they could have a Rachel vs Susie game with Jon taking Susie's place in Dictionary Corner with Sean alongside him and Dara O'Briain taking Rachel's place.
