Unfortunately Bill Bailey has rather regressed over the last 2 or 3 years. He does look pretty jaded these days - also, he's mumbling a lot more now.

Watching him in Part Troll (at his finest) 10 years ago it's actually quite sad at how much he's changed. It's that short delay and panic in his eyes when Carr throws a comment towards him, he's struggling for witty comebacks, which he never used to do.

What utter bollocks! Bill was in decent form on Friday, nothing special but the format of the show doesn't suit him as much as say, QI.

Charming. Welcome to the world of difference of opinion.

It was subtle but it's definitely there in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of his (in the past) and it seems quite clear to me how he struggles more these days with instant improvised banter.

I'm all for difference of opinion, but making bogus claims is something I am against. Panic in his eyes, seriously?

If you're going to childishly blow up a different opinion into 'bogus claims!' then I guess there's not much more we can talk about is there?

No. I can sense the fear in your typing from here. See, ridiculous isn't it?

About as much sense as your Bill Bailey comment

Ok, so they got a joke out of Muller Corner but that was it. Chicken Korma? That's the level you're at as a professional comedian?”

I agree. I really like Rob Beckett. He's just not suited to Dictionary Corner.

He's been good on the recent series of Mock the Week. Him and Romesh seem to be good mates and bounce off each other well.

He was just totally out of his depth on this though.
I know it's more about comedy than the actual quiz but it would be nice once in a while to get people on who are at least half decent at the game.

Is Romesh just doing the rounds on a regular basis or something? I seem to see him being advertised on pretty much any show that's even a tiny bit comedy related, yet if I'm honest, I'm not a fan. He doesn't really even make me chuckle slightly, let alone laugh. Seems to be on anything and everything which makes it worse (in my view).

There's a new handful of standups that seem to be doing the panel show rounds these days.
It's good to see some new faces but as was discussed in another thread over-exposure can make people fed up of seeing them all the time.

I'd like people like Stephen Fry to appear. See if he's all he's cracked up to be.

They do say a lot of comedians are very bright/brainy people so it would be good if they had some on that showed that.

I saw one the other week with Adam Buxton in Dictionary Corner and he was hilarious.

Pretty good episode.

And for once, I actually thought Romesh was quite funny.

The language was 'lively' tonight. Nice to hear some swearing for a change after the watershed.

I like Romesh.

I love Susie roasting Jimmy alive with her barbed, colourful put-downs. Nice seeing her exercise her linguistic skill.

Tonight's episode was good. Liza Tarbuck was hilarious, and Sarah Millican was just about bearable.

Really good episode. Consistently funny throughout. Never really been much of a fan of Romesh but he was pretty good as well.

Next weeks is Sean and Bill Bailey against Joe Wilkinson and Isy Suttie. Joe Lycett in Dictionary Corner.

I really enjoyed last night's episode, some of the gags were hilarious and I didn't really mind SM or JC. I've never seen Romesh before but he was quite funny too.
