Is this a new episode or is it a repeat

Wow Rachel showing her off her great legs in a tight skirt, when she was skipping with Jimmy Carr

All the ones they've been showing recently are repeats

.
Just want to complain again why they arent bringing back the original cats.
Watched repeats on channel 18 and they are still hilarious, some great one liners.
Cant see the attraction of combining it with countdown at all. Theres only so many jokes about choosing letters and numbers you can do.
bring back the original cats please

Watched one with Claudia Winkleman in last night. Why does she have to play the little girl act all the time? Why does she act so thick when everyone knows she went to Cambridge University? I find the whole act cringeworthy.

Other than that, not a bad programme though I could do without Joe thing.

Just because nobody else has mentioned it - new episode tonight with Henning Wehn and Victoria Coren-Mitchell.

I like both of those as panellists so been looking forward to this since I saw it scheduled last week

Tom Allen in Dictionary Corner apparently - never heard of him and usually the people they get in for that are awful, but hopefully he won't ruin too much.

Largely unfunny bald, gay comic. Been on a couple of times and didn't exactly storm it on either of those occasions so I'm surprised to see him back. For me, they could rotate Joe Lycett, Wehn, Buxton and Helm and I'd be happy.

I agree.

Yes, right, just looked him up and was about to correct myself as I do know him, but just as 'the bald gay one'.

He's not too bad I think but he does rely far too much on look-at-me-I'm-gay-hahaha jokes.

Nobody is going to believe it if she starts acting 'thick'.

Will be watching tonight's episode, hopefully it should be good. Although I still prefer the original 8/10 Cats and I'm still wishing and waiting for them to do a new series of that lol. When they first started doing cats does countdown I thought it would just be a one-off series to be honest, I still like it though if the guests are good

I remember Tom Allen from Law of the Playground, which was on about ten years ago, his career doesn't seemed to have moved on much since then.

Good job I follow Victoria on Twitter as i'd never have known there was a new episode.

Assuming you're talking about Joe Wilkinson, he no longer regularly appears on the show.

is this canned laughter? havent heard anything funny yet...conversation is embarrassingly awful. Watched original cats last night and it was 100 times better than this.

got to turn over cant take this any more

Of course, I realise that Henning was joking about the whole "shooting the Brexiteers" thing, but let's not kid ourselves, most political humour is firmly rooted in that individual's genuine beliefs and political views. So if that's the case with Henning and his whole 'they clearly need their heads examined', well then Henning, you are a bit of a prat. Carry on. Time to get back to enjoying some genuine comedy.

Which Henning will most probably not be taking part in, obviously.

F*ck me, I hope Joe Wilkinson is not back as a regular.

Apart from that, thought it was an OK episode.

Of course it's not canned laughter, you can see the audience sitting there.

Why don't you create another thread about the original cats rather than keep moaning about it here?

It's obvious which way you voted then, I thought it was quite funny.

I thought Henning's piece on it was quite funny too.

To be fair, it's also quite obvious which way Henning voted.

As he said, he did not vote as he's not a British citizen.

That was a mistake in my submission. I meant to say it's obvious which way he would have voted. Apologies.

'Shooting' Joe Wilkinson might have been a better idea. (Just enough to keep him off the show.)

I was quite enjoying it until he turned up.

I know people on here wouldn't have been happy with Joe being back last night, but to be honest, I'm so pleased he is back and I DO hope he is back regualarly. I don't know what he is like on normal 8 Out Of 10 Cats but on Cats Does Countdown, I think he is the best part! I thought the show went down hill when he left, I felt it lost its spark. I thought the fun disappeared after he left and not enough Rachel.

I thought the train thing was funny (extreme Countdown!). The 12 letter round was a bit deja vu but when you love playing Countdown like me, I thought it added to the fun. Sorry DS, but I hope Joe is back next week!

Whilst I was getting bored of the mascot section, I actually found the mascot section better than before. Didn't care about Victoria's bit but the rest was funny, especially Sean's Tiger story!

Did they advertise the episodes much earlier in the year? I do wonder why they didn't advertise those. At least I didn't notice, I'm a student so I don't watch live telly, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm at home with the parents now so I can watch live telly here. This was well advertised, so I wonder if the earlier in year episodes weren't advertised because the quality wasn't as good.

And I got IDOLATERS too last night and was proud! Excellent spot from Richardson.

I haven't even watched the episode yet and I completely agree. The show was so much better without him.

Her "There was a Nike tick on it but they said I couldn't show brands, so I changed it to a swastika" was the best line of the night.

You obviously like slapstick. Others have more refined tastes...

So did I - sort I. I wasn't sure if it was -ers or -ors. I think neither was Richardson. I suspect VCM got it too; good to see her playing the game seriously. Or as as much as it is possible within the format.
