8 out of 10 ats does countdown
I wondered if anyone knew why 8 out of 10 cats keep doing countdown and don't go back to the regular show now?
I used to really like the countdown episodes as specials, but now it's a bit repetitive and I miss their every week take on different stories and think they should save the countdowns for specials. Thanks in advance. |

It hasn't affected the regular show. It still does two series per year.
I do agree though that the mashup should be kept to specials. |

Jon and his gimmicks have become a bit tiresome, as has Joe Wilkinson. I enjoyed Sharon Horgans bits though.

I sometimes wonder if jon has agreed to not take it so seriously to keep sean happy and keep the show interesting. It's funny how he went from winning every week to losing last week and nearly losing in last night's one, mainly because he kept coming up with stupid words he obviously knew wouldn't get any points. |

Liked the banter between Dara and Rachel which prompted Jimmy to say, "Get a room!".
Not sure what Joe brings to the show, he should be dropped entirely. Sharon Horgan reminds me of Davina in some way, although she does come across as being a bit ditzy at times. Sean's phone-calls were quite good and overall a decent show to end the series on. |

I enjoy it but agree the scripted gimmicks and the hideously unfunny Joe Wilkinson drag it down. The show is often at it's funniest when they're just simply playing the game.

Richardson just looks smug on this, i have really gone off him, he is more annoying than funny.
They need to get back to normal 8 out of 10 cats, cus i can see Sean Lock quitting otherwise, you can see he doesnt really enjoy this mash up. |

Sharon was funny and Rachel always looks so much better when she's allowed to show her lovely legs. |

I love having Dara O'Briain on the show, but I would be in favor of not having the same team captains every week. There are so many others out there who could have fun with it.
When I saw Jimmy with the glove, I thought the bird was going to be fake. Guess not!

You should watch "Bug" on Sky Atlantic then - he does them every episode and they're frequently hilarious.
