You don't write like somebody who watches intellectual programmes.

In fairness she danced much better the night she went out than the week before when she managed to stay in, and she was up against the eventual overall winner in the dance off.
I wondered if anyone knew why 8 out of 10 cats keep doing countdown and don't go back to the regular show now?
I used to really like the countdown episodes as specials, but now it's a bit repetitive and I miss their every week take on different stories and think they should save the countdowns for specials.

You should watch "Bug" on Sky Atlantic then - he does them every episode and they're frequently hilarious.
I sometimes wonder if jon has agreed to not take it so seriously to keep sean happy and keep the show interesting. It's funny how he went from winning every week to losing last week and nearly losing in last night's one, mainly because he kept coming up with stupid words he obviously knew wouldn't get any points.

That was my thought too - won even though he looked as though he was trying to lose. Think he even beat Dara in one of the numbers rounds.

I enjoy it but agree the scripted gimmicks and the hideously unfunny Joe Wilkinson drag it down. The show is often at it's funniest when they're just simply playing the game.

As much as a like Joe I just don't think he adds anything to the show.
Sharon was funny and Rachel always looks so much better when she's allowed to show her lovely legs.

They need to get back to normal 8 out of 10 cats, cus i can see Sean Lock quitting otherwise, you can see he doesnt really enjoy this mash up.”
It's all an act for the comedy element. They're just playing to their comedy personas. I'm sure Sean Lock is more than happy to clock up more TV appearances and take C4's money.
I love having Dara O'Briain on the show, but I would be in favor of not having the same team captains every week. There are so many others out there who could have fun with it.
When I saw Jimmy with the glove, I thought the bird was going to be fake. Guess not!

It's pretty obvious that he's no longer taking it seriously. Sean has made it known that he doesn't like the game but Jon does/did and took it seriously. At least when they were trying it made the quiz element interesting.

Another thing I've seen him in that was very funny was an extra on the series 1 dvd for The IT Crowd. He was interviewing the cast members. His character in the interviews is 'Ken Korda', here's a clip:
