Sara Pascoe is as funny as a funeral.

For once Winklewoman is not the most annoying woman in the show.

How can Winklefringe be Sean Lock's replacement? What the **** is wrong with the world?

It was just about borderline bearable but when Wilkinson was wheeled out - literally - I turned it off and immediately deleted the recording.

Oh lord, is he still getting work! Glad I didn't bother.

I didn't even know he was on the show until he came out. I would have probably just fast forwarded his parts with a better line-up but with the one they had for this episode it just wasn't worth it.

Joe Wilkinson is the exact reason I don't bother with this most weeks. He's so painfully unfunny it's ridiculous. Even on a show I really do enjoy like Taskmaster, which puts people like Katherine Ryan and Romesh Ranganathan in a good light, he was still an insufferable tit.

But also i do agree that even if Wilkinson wasn't involved at all, the show would still feel stale and they really should just crack on with regular 8 out of 10 Cats now, the fact that even Sean Lock seems beyond bored with the Countdown business should speak volumes.

Usually I defend the show, and find a lot of the criticism over the top and pretty vindictive, but I admit it this one was fairly weak.

Rachel still looked ridiculously hot, mind you.

She's one of those women who could wear a burlap sack and still look amazing. It helps that she seems nice too. Compared to someone like Victoria Beckham, for example, who almost always looks miserable.

Sarah Millican and the 50 other unfunny comedians around today must have been busy.
Sarah Pascoe was grim.

Why are they not doing normal editions? Everyone seems to want them more. If they're depserate for Rachel Riley, then give her a job on the normal edition. They could do a pointless maths rounds.

The ratings suggest otherwise.

Wrinkleman is painfully unfunny. The worst show of the series so far. The only way it could get worse is if Rob Beckett shows up.

Personally I hate EOOTC but I like EOOTCDC so there's no complaints from me.

The first 15-20 minutes is usually OK.......it gets boring when they start the games

which obviously defeats the object of the format

Possibly the worst, we haven't seen the rest yet, but definitely better than some episodes from previous series which were absolutely dire. JW's contribution wasn't his worst by a long chalk. I just wish Rachel would stop wearing those tight dresses/skirts that squeeze her arse down to her ankles. It just looks very wrong and not appealing at all.

I wasn't happy to see Joe back. And I didn't find Sara Pascoe that funny either. Love Johnny Vegas though. The episode was mostly boring.

Is she meant to be funny though? She's a TV presenter not a comedian.

Sean has always given me the impression he isn't a fan of doing Cats Does Countdown, I hope they ditch it now and go back to the regular series with just the occasion special of Countdown.

This is exactly how I feel, I enjoy the banter at the start but as soon as the games starts it turns into a bit of a slog with the same recycled jokes.

We're very different people, me and you...I couldn't disagree more.

It appears there's a new episode going out tonight at 9:

Guest captain David Walliams and Jonathan Ross go up against Jon Richardson and Joe Lycett, and Isy Suttie is in Dictionary Corner. (Ep1)

C4 are obsessed with this programme. Not even a month since the last episode was on and a new series already.

I do like it, but you can only have so much of a good thing before you get sick of it, and its getting close to that for me now.

Walliams AND Woss on the same show. Truly, we are blessed......

Lock and Richardson need to commit to this or just let someone else takeover full time.

Just filler, but isnt it just continuing the series, after it was taking off for more flipping Olympics coverage?
