All is forgiven now I've seen Rachel's outfit! It's like something out of UFO.

I've just noticed this as well - missed half of it already so i'll have to grab it on +1

Yes, she was looking particularly slinky today.

Caught it earlier this morning and she certainly was the highlight

Not the worst show they've ever done i suppose. That's the best i can say about it.

The dresses and skirts are tight.

But it's the support underwear worn underneath that does all the pushing up and down.

Vorderman's guilty of it as well, not when on Countdown, but in real life.

Rachel is so not my type

Prefer someone with a bit more meat on.

Others have said her legs are too slim and her mouth is too wide.

But God i do like looking at her.

She does know it though and plays up to it. :-/

Does anyone know who is expected to be at the tapings this Saturday? I've got tickets for it and know in the past some people have posted who is likely to be there.

Anyone know why it's been shunted to Sat night?

I just love the show, it has two major levels, you can watch it just for the laughs. then you can watch it again and play countdown.

|ts so depressing when some just aim their lives at getting a entertaining thing off the air because it dosent suit them or they just like getting stuff they dont like or people they dont like off air.

Well Chris Evans is looking for a job maybe he could do a better job or Sam Al whats his face.

OMG - Rachel is smokin' tonight.

On the downside - Lee Mack.

She was appalling. Obnoxious, unfunny and unbelievably thick. That she couldn't do the numbers game in which the total was 101 was incredible.

Not a medical dr of course, and not even a PhD - it was awarded to him as an honour from "salford"!

The embarassment.

He was funny though on this show - the best of the series.

Catherine Tate, who I usually love, was just annoying last night. "Shut up!" - how many times did she shout that? And has she really no idea how the game is played? I hope she's not on again or at least if she is, she watches an episode or 2 beforehand and takes part properly.

Catherine was ultra tiresome, wasn't she? Liked the rest of the show.

We've talked about it before in here - it's a show format that can really show up the contestants true self, since it's not just pre-rehearsed funny comments being regurgitated (like the standard Cats show which they all just take turns to say something funny).

But similar to Roisin whatshername, Tate comes across as being thick as two planks. I would never have known that had she never appeared on it.

There's no hiding behind funny expressions and anecdotes. Quite interesting how vulnerable it makes its comedian contestants at times.

I kind of assume these people put it on a bit with the "I got a 1, look at me I'm so thick leave me alone" rubbish. The whole 102/101 maths round just surely couldn't flummox anybody, and I feel some comedians are just playing dumb for the cameras which in this show gets real tiresome. I'm so fed up of the whole "how do we play?" / "what do I do in the maths round" rubbish. I get not everybody watches Countdown but surely they get the bloody idea. And even if not, I'm sure the shows producers explain it in full detail beforehand. Oh but that's not funny I guess, it's better to go on and play total dumb...

Sometimes that's the case, but I don't think that's what happened with Catherine Tate on last night's episode.

I only watch the first 15-20 minutes and turn it of when they start playing the games............the first bit where Jimmy is 'interviewing' the contestants and the bits about the mascots are pretty funny !

I loved Sean's mascots.......artistically arranged foodstuffs......he went on a course !

With the rotating ferris wheel of contestants and guest captains, next week's show, for me at least, looks like it's finally got a decent line up.

Guest captain Lee Mack and Bob Mortimer take on Sean Lock and Victoria Coren Mitchell with Alex Horne and the Horn Section in Dictionary Corner.

I like Jon but it's clear he can't be arsed to commit to this anymore. Time to find a new captain.

Anybody but Lee Mack.

Agreed, it's a good lineup.

It's a bit odd that the team captains are missing so regularly, doesn't usually happen this often on other panel shows. I don't really mind though, it adds to the variety. Thankfully, Joe Wilkinson is not a regular anymore.

Does anyone know why the full series of proper Cats isn't broadcast anymore? Have Zeppotron or Channel 4 cancelled it?

The last full series was 2 years ago now. Ran from October-December 2014.

The Countdown version wore a little thin ages ago.
