How many more times do we have to hear about the countdown timer putting them off?”

When Jimmy Carr said Rob Beckett and Richard Ayoade was one of the worst pairings they'd ever had, I couldn't have agreed more... only for different reasons.

must admit, even with winkleman and beckett on the show it was a lot funnier than i would have ever expected.

next week's line up is "interesting". Sean pairs up with Danny Dyer but Joe Wilkinson sits in for Jon with Gabby Logan.

David O'Doherty in dictionary corner.

I wish they'd stop messing with the show, just keep Sean Lock and Jon Richardson as captains.

I'm on the fence about Richard Ayoade, half the time he's funny and half the time he talks nonsense. I blame the nonsense stuff on his friendship with Noel Fielding who often talks gibberish because he hasn't got the wit to be spontaneously funny.

Both Sean and Jon are both in the middle of nationwide tours at the moment so I guess they can only fit in filming for the show as and when they can.

I doubt they'd want to scale back their "day jobs" as stand-ups to fit in more filming and television work though, so i suppose we ultimately have to make do.

I was disappointed by Ayaode as well.

He played the standard role of guests on this show of 'look how dumb I am' which doesn't seem to suit the comedic character he plays. Maybe he was actually very poor at the game so he had to try and be funny by being stupid.

Beckett still seems to be viewed in quite a dim light but he's actually pretty decent nowadays and fairly likable IMO.

Against all odds that "Sean Bean" fella was alright. Helped that Suzy was in on the joke as well. Speaking of which, quite racy comments this week.....

The maker of that dress Rachel was wearing must be ecstatic at how she filled it out. My oh my...

I haven't been too impressed with the new series but for me, tonight's show was a return to form.

Danny Dyer is always good value and I'm in a minority that actually likes Joe Wilkinson. I liked Gabby too.

Nice to have a show where nobody goes ballistic.

Actually hated this episode, which is a first for me. David O'Doherty was annoying, Dyer and Gabby was just boring. Usually I dislike Joe Wilkinson, but he was ok, think I've warmed to him after watching Taskmaster.

As much as I also personally can't stand Wilkinson and his "helper" skits with Rachel, he's actually been quite ok whenever he's stood in as captain. I guess he's in a position where he has to tone everything else down and it does tend to work better.

Haven't watched the episode yet, but i'll give it a go later.

Wasn't that bad a show actually, despite Wilkinson being on it.

The line that absolutely slayed me was Jimmy Carr to Danny Dyer - "You know why they don't want you on Question Time ?. Because they're all a bunch of slags"

Was a good show. It works better when the guests (Dyer and Logan) actually try and play the game and let the comedians bounce off one another.

No one was trying too hard and playing stupid for laughs.

New team captains Rob Beckett and Aisling Bea.

Interesting that they've bothered to bring it back at all if they don't think it's good enough for C4 any more.

I loved David Mitchell's Peri Peri Conspiracy tonight! And Sam Simmons was great. His bonkers humour is right up my street!

That was interesting. There were some very funny guests on, including Russell Howard who I think is a world class comedian but I'm not 100% sure. He definitely came up with the joke of the year when he said "moisht" instead of moist. That tickled me so hard my crotch went numb in every way imaginable.

Lol!!

I noticed that as well. I don't always get the numbers but that one seemed very obvious and simple. I couldn't believe they missed it. I think Gaby nearly got it, but she did 5x9 instead of 5x8.

I really like Danny Dyer in this, and Joe Wilkinson was good as a captain. I didn't miss Jon Richardson's sourpuss though.

It won't be the same without Sean. 8 out of 10 Cats has been my favourite panel show for years now but without Sean it losses almost everything i enjoyed about it. If they couldn't keep Sean on the show then they shouldn't have bothered bringing it back in my opinion.

The only positive about it, and i am reaching here, is that maybe now we will see less of Rob Beckett on Mock the Week in the future.

Christmas special on now. Like the gospel choir - they were on Britain's Got Talent last year.

I always enjoy it when Joe Lycett's in Dictionary Corner.

Why do they constantly make snipes about Brexit? They are aware that most of the country disagrees with them on this issue, right? You'd think they'd shut up about it and keep their stupid opinions on the matter to themselves. But no, still they go on acting as if the electorate are a bunch of simple minded rubes.

I think you've got the wrong show (and thread). I think you mean The Last Leg.

Erm, no. I believe I have the right thread. Thanks anyway. Or do you simply mean they do it on that POS too? I never watch that show.
