Erm, no. I believe I have the right thread. Thanks anyway. Or do you simply mean they do it on that POS too? I never watch that show.
My apologies. It's just that I don't remember it on Cats Does Countdown aside from a few passing jokes but that's probably because I'm distracted by the comedy.

What comedy? Show hasn't been good for like a year and a half. And I love it when people try to shoo away tiresomely vitriolic remarks that they quietly agree with, simply going 'it's a comedy show, they don't mean it!' Bollocks they don't. Just because it's a comedy show, it doesn't mean the message they're trying to promote isn't meant to be taken seriously by the certain viewers they're trying to reach out to. It's the same bullshit excuse Jon Stewart would make about his program, when he knew full well that his politically biased comedy show was the no.1 news source for most youngsters in the US.

With all due respect, I think you are taking it too seriously. Cats Does Countdown isn't a show to be taken seriously and I think the majority of its viewers know that.

The point I'm making is, so what if they made a few comments related to politics, does it REALLY matter?

Well no but then, does any of it matter? No, not really. But the thread's here, so why not?

You'd think both Captains could've made it for the specials.

It was decent enough, but I stopped it and deleted it when Wilkinson turned up. Just saves the general pointlessness of fast forwarding I suppose.

Why do they constantly make snipes about Brexit? They are aware that most of the country disagrees with them on this issue, right? You'd think they'd shut up about it and keep their stupid opinions on the matter to themselves. But no, still they go on acting as if the electorate are a bunch of simple minded rubes.
How do you know that most of the country disagrees with them? Not everyone voted

Well, it's a fair assumption though isn't it? I mean, of the 72% turnout, 1.3 million more people voted to leave than remain.

The chances of the non-voting 28% having enough remainers among them to have not only outvoted leavers, but by more than 1.3million?

When it's an 'all or nothing' referendum like this, the majority is generally considered representative as majority of the country.

Guests can make or break a good panel show, Sean, Jimmy and Jon are invariably funny so, as long as James Acaster, Noel Fielding, Phil Jupitus, Alex Brooker or Michael McIntyre aren't invited, we are usually guaranteed some belly laughs.

I would imagine all of them, being paid up members of the entertainment classes, are all left-leaning and liberal. They would all therefore be firm Remainers. It's a big event and a source of comic material, so they're likely to mention it. I assume they all thought Brexit was a monumentally stupid idea. You may agree or disagree with them, but it's hardly surprising they think what they think. I would imagine the vast majority of people who watch these comedians live or watch Eight out of Ten Cats Does Countdown were Remainers too (although that's just a guess on my part) so it's not likely to affect their livelihoods.
