Is it a certainty that Sam Bailey is going to win?
I feel the final lacks excitement this year given that Sam B has had nothing but 10 out of 10s from all of the judges and the majority of viewers too.
I really liked her and was championing her before the final 10, but then got bored by her performances every week since. I'm not looking forward to the finals because it would appear she's got no competition whatsoever. And yet, I'm sort of hoping that either Luke or Nick will pull something out of the bag and WOW us. Well maybe not. Kind of a letdown this year as there seems to be no nail-biting finale

Don't let Rough Copy read this, they'll start off with 'The final will be boring without us' again

Sam won't be able to cope without the confront of the studio. It will suit Nick and Luke more.

shes stood out because of how poor everyone else has been really
doesn't say a lot for the standard of the competition when shes been the only contestant who has actually managed to sing in tune every week |

![]() To be honest with you, I'm not up on this forum's gossip at all. There's loads of acts that I've liked including RC, Hannah and Tamera. But maybe these three are the best. Who am I to judge? ![]()

Well that's true. I just find her performances a bit predictable...if that's the right word?
![]() ![]() all series I have been saying I want to see her do a song differently to the original , slow it down or change it up , just something that isn't basically exactly the same arrangement, tempo, tone etc etc etc as it was done by whoever she is covering edit : having said that she did change candle in the wind , unfortunately she turned it into a power ballad which meant it completely lost the subtlety and meaning of the original |

Sorry to be mean, but that's how I feel about her performances.

To be fair most years just about all contestants have their share of pitching problems. Matt wasn't averse to a bum note here or there for instance. In fact, the only contestant I can think of in recent years who hasn't missed a note is Joe.
apart from Nicholas every other act was flat or out of tune virtually every week |

I know, but it's like that most years!
this year it just feels like its been worse all the pimping of acts being told how flawless their vocals are every week when you were reaching for the mute button when they were singing |

Oh yeah, but that's a different issue. There certainly was a time when the judges would pick up on pitching issues much more readily. I suppose this year the worst offenders were the ones they were pushing the most so it suddenly got brushed under the carpet. I suspect it does make the general standard seem worse when the judging panels standards seem to have conveniently slipped.

Sam Bailey winning is certainly not guranteed, its never that straight forward especially on shows such as The X Factior.
Nicholas especially will attract alot of votes, and I think Luke will make one heck of an impact as well! My thinking being girls vote for boys, and that plus this supposed Scottish vote may land Nicholas with the win! |

Sam will do just great. I'll bet she's sung in front of much bigger audiences than the lads. This is hers to lose. |

When you compete, you go out there and do what you do best in order to win. You DON'T go out there and do stuff that would put you outside of your comfort zone just to please people. You wouldn't see Wayne Rooney playing in goal just because people are fed up with watching him score goals. |

Sam B has come out every week and put in pitch perfect performances. She has shone when the likes of Tamera, RC, Luke, Hannah and KR have all fallen.
She doesn't sound samey to me at all. She has sung more upbeat songs in the lives than Nicholas, Tamera, Hannah or Abi ever did. She has truly taken the competition to a new level and left no space for anyone else, if she wins it will most definitely be deserved. She is easily the best. |

Before Tamera got crap, Hannah landed bottom 2 and RC turned dreadful people on here said those 3 would be final 3 because they were so much better than the rest. Hmmm, guess all that changes when Sam B looks set to win. |

its not about whether she has done upbeat or not
Nicholas has been criticised a number of times for showing no originality and no individuality because hes done every song as a straight copy of its original , sam has done exactly the same but no mention of that at all its about showing some level of artistry or musicianship , without that you need to have an exceptional voice and as good as she has been she doesn't have that |

People have commented all year (before the lives anyway) that Nicholas, Tamera, RC and Hannah were all very strong competition. Even then, when she got to the live shows Sam B still showed them how it was done and shone above them every week.

She has shown she is capable of putting on great performances. She has shown she can sing ballads. She can show she can move. She has shown she can get the emotion across and most of all, she has shown that she has something. People can deny this until they are blue in the face but each year we get an "Over belter" and do they win? No. Never. So why the hell would it be different this year? I'll tell you why! It's because Sam B is not only head and shoulders above every other over ever on the show, but is head and shoulders above pretty much all X Factor contestants bar Leona and Alex. |
