Excellent idea, and an excellent album. She really did cut months of promo and waiting, and released straight to the fans to be the critics.

Such a brilliant album, my favourite songs are "Partition", "Blow", and "Pretty Hurts". I hope this strategy works out for her and the album is very successful, it could be a game-changing album for the music industry if it does.

Beyonce's work ethic is crazy. How in the world has she managed to do a mil date tour and 17 videos. I wish I was given prior warning as I would have put aside some money - I'm done to £11 until next fri.

I'm amazed they managed to keep this secret! We all knew she was recording music of course, but I really wasn't expecting it to be released like this.

This is amazing! Every track sounds so good!! Got it from iTunes and love that we have the tracks and then the videos too. It's a real body of work. Love how she just released it out of the blue. Obviously planned for a while. Love it!!

I haven't listened to it yet, I will probably buy it later as I can't imagine being disappointed with Beyonce... BUT the word I'm getting from Facebook/twitter is that its crap!

People have been asking "Where's the single?" for months only for Beyoncé to release the album like this.

I LOVE it. This is very out of the box for Beyonce. I feel you will only really like it if you like hip-hop in general. It's giving me Drake/Kendrick Lemar/Frank Ocean vibes. There's no Single Ladies or Best Thing or Irreplaceable on it. In fact there's no actual pop song on it imo.

What a genius strategy this is. It prevents album leaks and the shock of it will create a huge hype and anticipation. I hope the album does well just on the basis that it's a fantastic release strategy and deserves to be successful because of it

The comments I've read everywhere is that people REALLY like it. I do. I love every song. And the videos are beautiful. Maybe I follow people with the same tasted of mine, though.

Physical album will apparently be released Dec 20th.

I just have to add, that this is a REALLY smart business move, it prevents leaks before the album is out, AND while there are leaks out there already with the songs, the fact that there are videos for every track will be such a draw to buy the album on iTunes, just to get the videos.

Also, she did a world tour before basically to promo this album.
