I read 200k predicted. Would of been more if physical wasn't for another week and a bit.

She was incredibly smart releasing it this way. "No promo" became the biggest promo. Her fans are doing the promo for her. And no one got tired of months of scrutinizing little snippets or leaks here and there. It's all out, and it will be talked about for a while, because. Also, releasing the physical album just before Christmas will just make people buy it for the last minute gift.

Also, the album is well produced, and well thought and put together. So no one will feel cheated, and the price for the iTunes download with all the videos and tracks is quite low, so..

She knows the business for sure.

Pretty Hurts is amazing. The whole album is amazing actually, and I'm not usually a fan of straight-up R&B.
So 3008

Yeah, it's predicted to enter at #1 in the US with 200,000+ copies sold after only three charting days on sale.

I have listened to the whole album and I'm not really a fan of it.
Most of the beats in the songs are repetitive and I only like:
. XO
. Haunted
. Mine
. Pretty Hurts

I will have a few more listens though

I feel slightly cheated --- What happened to the DC3 track? I thought we were getting a DC track on all 3 albums, lol. Maybe she thought it would turn into a complete pornfest, since Kelly like hoing it up too. lol. Next Michelle needs to release a explicit album.

I love how almost all DC members/former members support and love each other, its nice to see.

I'm broke as f#** so I can't buy anything till next week.

so far listening …oh this is such a lovely surprise!! …. the album is like '4' with its nods to classic soul and rnb but the next level with nods to the modern great soul and rnb albums from 'miguel' 'frank' 'janelle' …. such a great manoeuvre….

is that Kylie on track 6?

I was incredibly excited about this, so excited that I didn't preview the album. Only time I've ever done that, and I regret it. There isn't a single track on that album IMO that's good enough to be on any of her other albums. They feel like B-sides of the Dangerously in love B-Sides.

I get all bilious when I hear the 'its for the fans' type crap that artists come out with, if she wanted to be really revolutionary she could have just emailed the album to all the members of her fan club for free.

Have you listened to it a couple of times? I was underwhelmed by it at first, and I also thought 4 was crap on the first listen but now I can't stop listening.

but if you have played it several times then it's a shame you dont like it

Why would anyone do that? She worked hard on the album and the videos, of course she or anyone else would want to be paid for the work. Or is there someone who does free work for their friends and family all the time, never wanting to get paid?

I have felt indifferent to Beyonce's music on first listen before, and as a result, felt disappointed. But then my disappointment turned to enjoyment after I listened a few times. In this case, I actively HATE all of the songs. Like if they came on the radio, I would dive for the dial to turn it off. I have never hated Beyonce's music before, with the exception of a song or two on eahc album, like Party.

Just cant be arsed with all the 'its for fans' crap, she has brought out an album, nothing more nothing less. Not knocking her but doesn't warrant all the attention imo

IMO it does. It's alone worth of recognition, that woman on top of music industry makes such wise business decisions, makes the kind of music she wants, and is not apologetic or humble about it, nor bows down to men, nor shames other women. IMO it is worth recognizing, that she did a brave and smart business decision, and so far it is paying off.

And while it may not be everyone's cup of tea, it still is clear, that tons of heart work and dedication has been put to this visual album, and Beyonce clearly is proud of it.

It is a nice note to her fans, mentioning them, she is one of those artists who has really dedicated and loyal fans.
