I get all bilious when I hear the 'its for the fans' type crap that artists come out with, if she wanted to be really revolutionary she could have just emailed the album to all the members of her fan club for free.

First of all, she never said it's for the fans. She hasn't said sh*t about the album before releasing it. How about we all work for free?! She employs hundreds of people who all need to get paid somehow!

I read 200k predicted. Would of been more if physical wasn't for another week and a bit.
If the physical was set to go, there would have been no surprise thus destroying this clever marketing ploy. |

She deserves a lot of recognition and credit for this. For way over a year she's been criticised like crazy by people saying that she doesn't know what she wants with her next album, that she can't be bothered, that she's scrapped her entire album, that she's scared. Well, all you people couldn't have been more wrong because she didn't just film 17 videos in a few weeks. She had this planned all along and pulled it off whilst in the middle of a world tour. Not only that, but the result is a fantastic album, a fantastic body of work.

Could she end up getting Xmas number one with this? All this hype will last another while, plus she's got the physical release to come.

She is one of the hardest working artists out there, never disappoints in concerts, but brings the best shows each and every time. And she managed to bring this all around pretty much perfect piece of art out there (meaning the whole concept, 17 videos, 14 songs, all planned out perfectly). Just 2 days ago, when she announced her new tour dates she was ridiculed and said to be "done", "flop" and yesterdays news, because she failed to bring an album faster. |

Added to this the way she was criticized throughout her pregnancy, and after the pregnancy, for whatever she did. She was criticized for actually having a baby instead of bringing out a new album.

The Christmas #1 will be announced next Sunday, giving Beyonce's physical just two days worth of sales. One Direction will almost certainally get it, with Gary and Robbie at #2 and #3.

This is definitely the best kept secret of 2013, at least when it comes to the battle of the pop princesses and divas.
On second listen, there are some gems. I was expecting Drunk In Love to be a huge Crazy In Love-esque sequel, but that was a bore. current favourites are Pretty Hurts, Haunted, Partition, Jealous,XO |

I think Beyoncé has completely changed the game. No joke.
Aside from it all being secret. Releasing an album and having videos for each track is unheard of. Its basically a music book. There will be no long campaign for the album as everything is already out there. Given in the age of downloads all future singes suffer anyway once an LP has been downloaded. So this is a refreshing new angle. You are basically being sold the whole product in one go. I never thought I would agree with Mariah Carey but she pretty much nailed it. From now on things will be very different for many artist and its because of Beyoncé. |

XO is the best track from the album closely followed by Mine and Blow. The visuals made the more weaker tracks better IMO. Best album of 2013 to be frankly honest.

I'm sorry to be 'that' person, but I'm flat broke after organising everything for Christmas, and every penny counts at the moment. How come the Americans get it for the equivalent of £9 ($16) when we have to pay £13? It can't take any extra effort to put it on UK itunes?

I didn't pay that, i paid £9.99. I got mine the first hour it was released. Seems the price has increased due to higher demand. |
