both phones are now £59 plus £10 top up in cwp

whats the better phone for internet.

It is not that better. I agree that for that amount it the best phone but it runs Windows Phone 8 which is a disadvantage. The Y300 is a very capable Android phone.

Going from a few reviews of it the downsides seem to be some lag, which I would expect from a budget Android phone and a poor UI provided by Huawei.

For me that makes the Lumia 520 a much better phone as there won't be any lag and the UI is very, very nice to use.
