I actually believe the show age should go above 18, to be honest as you can see Nicholas is coping well with the stress and fame and was actually given 1 full day rest as he was under strain.

They are actually concerned whether he will be ok to take on stage on Staurday

It's actually because he has a heart condition and not because he's under 18.

But stress at young age has affect on the heart.

One of the reasons why Nick really shouldn't win, the pressure of the XF winners label may be difficult for him due to the stress & expectations of the coming year. Atleast if he doesn't win he wouldn't have that added weight on him to succeed and would have more freedom to grow and develop as an artist.

Btw I don't particularly like Nick's style of singing. But it's nevertheless horrible to have a condition like that at his age. Poor kid - he has such a sweet attitude about it which helps.

Same. Nick has been my least favourite act throughout, however I think he's a good kid and I like his friendship with Luke. I do worry about his health though which is why I honestly think it's best for him to not win without having the added pressures of succeeding especially after leaving behind a trail of flop male winners

Being his fan, I wouldnt want him to win if he is not able to take the limelight, But i feel the girlfriend thing is bugging him down as its near the finals, and her to say what she said might be playing up his mind

Nicholas seems to come from a loving supporting family so I doubt very much that they would allow him to participate if they thought it would be detrimental to his health.

It's been previously reported that his condition is well managed with drugs and I'm certain that the show would have had his health checked by the best doctors before allowing to continue through the competition.

I hope this doesn't stop people from voting for him.

I feel deeply sorry for him. Hope he'll be ok. I lost my son to a cardiac arrest & I know Nicky had one at just 8yrs old. Please God let him be ok. Must admit I'm feeling very uneasy watching the show tonight. He's first up.
