Why does power cycling your phone fix slow speeds?

Hi All,

Been having a couple of problems recently where I get low speeds on my iPhone. Cycling airplane mode sometimes fixes these slow speeds, but other times need a complete reboot.

It well then be fine for a couple of months before it goes 'dodgy' again.

Any ideas why?

Turning it off and in again is s tried and tested fix.

Modern phones are complicated with lots of processes running in the background. Of one of those processes goes wrong then restarting your phone will restart the process.
