Just changed over to pay monthly and retired my old galaxy mini. Got the Huawei g510. Decision on choosing the handset was based upon experience of my wife's Huawei blaze being a better phone than my samsung and costing half the price. Had the phone almost a week and Very happy with it. I know there are some limits on a cheap handset but I have found this phone very capable so far. What do others make of this phone and other Huawei handsets?

I wouldn't any attention to the opinions expressed on here. If you are happy with the phone and deal then don't look for confirmation here as some will try to bring you down to make there pathetic lives seem worth while.

It might be worth getting out the other side of the bed tomorrow and see if that helps.

I like it, I find the interface easy and soon got used to no menu for apps, reminds me of iOS.

I also like the interface. Never used an iOS device IMHO apple are over priced and over rated. A friend recently got the galaxy ace3. Nice enough phone but I noticed it is bloated out with loads of apps that many people will never use. The Huawei however is loaded with the bare minimum. I have set mine with the homescreen for my most used apps then the second has folders with the remaining apps filed away. Very happy user so far. Only thing is I can't turn off the camera sounds.

I do the same, I put all my most used apps on the homescreen, then all the secondary apps on the other screens.

Have you tried a silent camera app?

I missed the gadget show but going to catch it on 5* at the week end. Never used Nfc before. The bus shelter I use has tags going to check them out tomorrow.

The bus shelter tags are probably the least useful implementation of NFC I've ever come across.
