You are right, though I don't know why your post seemed to veer off at a tangent after this sensible beginning. I couldn't believe it when one of them started ANOTHER Amy thread.

So is Kelly Brook, the pin up with the highest amount of calendars sold this year.
Katherine Jenkins only a few years younger than Lucy.

Nicole from the Xfactor only two years younger than Lucy.

Its not Lucy's age but the fact she looks a good 8 years years older than her age. I have no idea why..and I'm not insulting her for the sake of it. It's just the truth.

I've refrained from posting on the forums for quite some time but I must admit to being somewhat shocked to see Amy Willerton & Joey Essex being shown during the opening of "The Night of Heroes", on ITV1 tonight.

They producers then couldn't resist taking several more opportunities to show Amy pouting for the cameras.

Now, I realise that anything sponsored by The Sun is going to be used as a chance for minor celebrities to gain exposure than them genuinely turning out to support the lads & lasses in the armed forces, but I genuinely see it as being an insult that the producers of the program couldn't resist giving even minimal airtime to someone who, in many ways represents the very antithesis of the values that are promoted amongst those who serve.

Teamwork, working for others and with others, honesty are all taught from the minute you commence basic training and reinforced throughout your service; and you sure as hell wouldn't contemplate asking for extra rations just because you'd performed a fairly simple task.

I guess we can consider ourselves fortunate that the rumoured stars of yet another fake reality show weren't thrust forward to present one of the awards as part of what will, no doubt, be a huge publicity campaign.

Well these two would be present at the opening of an envelope if there were enough cameras around.

Just don't ask Joey to open it. Far too technical.

I didn't see it myself but it's nice to see Amy is in demand. Lucy who?

Well of course! It takes loads of skill and years at drama school to stand around on a red carpet! I agree!

Hmmm! But will this kind of work last until she's in her 40's.

Who knows? But then again,I don't think much about the" skills" of people who act or go to drama school.

I really do think you are missing the point here.

It's not a case of being in demand, just a chance for two non-entities to be promoted prior to the launch of a documentary recording their, obviously, fake romance by ITV2.

I should think most of the squaddies, airmen & sailors there would first have been left bemused and wondering who in God's name she was (never mind the harmless, if intolerably thick, supposed object of her affection).

Once it was realised she was someone who was so self-centred as to be willing to put the welfare of the group at risk for the sake of promoting herself, who was willing to take food from the mouths of others (bearing in mind that as you go up the rank scale, you go down in the priority to be fed - i.e. the ORs eat before the Senior Ranks & the officers eat last when on ops), blatantly lied and then sacrificed others rather than do the decent thing, I should think the majority would have felt nothing but contempt for her.

Never mind your question of "Who's Lucy?" The actions of virtually all the other camp mates, especially those most willing to muck in and share both work & food, would have been far more recognisable and admired by people who are used to their very lives depending on such qualities in themselves and others.

It's actually hard to say

On the one hand pretty much the whole media's fake - relationships are often about career, or sometimes complete facades - and obviously Amy and Joey make much more sense together

But actually when you meet someone in a similar world, and go through such a strange experience with them (IAC), it's not unlikely a real romance can develop ... Although they've not claimed there is one - so far it's just the media following them around and making things up

I'm not missing any point here. If these guys are that concerned what a young woman does or doesn't do on a reality show then that's their lookout.

As for knowing who she is;they should stop worrying about stargazing; and who's who in the celeb world because all celebs are are ordinary people with inflated bank balances to match their inflated egos.

But having said that, you don't know what they are/were thinking; even if you are/were in the military.

Precisely, although I wouldn't mind betting that most of the squaddies just looked at her and thought naughty thoughts..

Yeah, but you couldn't trust her as far as you could drop her on your foot.

And let's be honest, she isn't all that good looking when she's dolled up with the beauty queen make-up and hair style; looks far too high maintenance even on sergeant's pay

Sorry it affected you so much, seriously (not being *sarky*).
But in all honesty I bet half the armed forces have sallivated over pictures of Amy Willerton and were cheering loudly when she pouted and posed at a *do* in their honour.
Ask them to choose a campmate from the show for a night out/in and I just don't think David(sweet as he is) or Mo would be top of the list.
They'd opt for the beauty queen on looks alone and it has to be said won't give a monkey's if she didn't dry the dishes fast enough or collect sticks for the fire. She looks good and was a good sport in the tasks without wimping out----they'll love her .
Similarly Joey would have them hooting at his Forrest Gump act and would impress them with his go-for-it attitude to all HIS tasks.
I thought the celebs at the awards were a good mix and to make it simply about long faces and doom and gloom characters would make it a totally dreary and dull show that would not be so appealing to the young men and women in the Forces. In my opinion.

Somehow I dont think they'd be that worried about 'trusting her'

Are we all over analysing this?

A model at an armed services award show is there for one reason alone.

I feel sorry for Amy treated to a night out/ in just because of how she looks (according to you) 'they'd opt for the beauty queen on looks alone'
