I would vote for best hairstyle: (Or could it be worst??)
Actually - I'll go for best and worst!! Here's mine.....

BEST:-
1. DAVID TENNANT (That quiff!)
2: SARAH JANE (Long or short - she was sexy!)
3: TOM BAKER (That curly hair could never be matched!)
4: JON PERTWEE (who could match that bouffant??)
5: NYSSA (Ohh all those curly locks - and then went straight...even better!)

WORST:-
1: ADRIC (need I say more?)
2: TEGAN (well - she hated it too until the Arc of Infinity!)
3: JAMIE (I'm sure it was a wig!)
4: TURLOUGH (ginger.....he was blond originally! They didn't want him to clash with Peter D's hair!!)
5: LALLA WARD (simply because she never changed it!)

2. Sheila Hancock as Helen A in 'Happiness Patrol' (although there's a lot of competition in this story. Nearly went with Daisy K.)
3. Karen Gillan in certain scenes from 'Power of 3' and 'Angels take Manhattan'
4. David Daker as Irongron in 'The Time Warrior'
5. Sylvester McCoy as the Sixth Doctor in the 'Time and The Rani' pre-titles sequence

(Honourable mention: Beryl Reid in 'Earthshock'. Matt Smith in 'Time of the Doctor' has potential, but obviously haven't seen it yet so will reserve judgement.)

Best Five Hairstyles:
AMY POND - as the poet says, "the downward-burning flame/Of her rich hair"
THE FIRST DOCTOR - if General Cutler doesn't like it, it's got to be good
TANYA LERNOV - but then Clare Jenkins could have sported Tegan's hairstyles (see below) and the result would still have been alluring
THE ARGOLINS - whipped-cream beehives with little berry-like things that fall off as you get older; I could go for that (in fact, I do)
THE MONOIDS - no, really; imagine them with afros or mohicans and you'll see just how well-judged those mop-tops were.

Worst Five Hairstyles:
TEGAN - Dear God! Look at it! I hate it even after Arc of Infinity
MADELEINE ISSIGRI - lumpy metallic wigs? meh!
THE TECHNIX - arguably not a hairstyle at all, but indisputably not a good look
BARBARA WRIGHT - Big Hair that seems to keep getting Bigger despite the lack of acknowledged facilities in the TARDIS for maintaining it. It's a mark of how good Jacqueline Hill's performance was that she remains my favourite female companion despite this
MEDUSA - stop-motion animated snakes? It'll never catch on.

Such a pity that the Leningrad Cowboys haven't (yet) appeared on Doctor Who.

Ken Dodd!

I assume they have narrow tapering conical protuberances on their skulls that culminate in the matrices that contain the berry-like thingies, but the hair grows from the whole of their scalps. Whatever it is, it looks good.

I can't believe I forgot Ken Dodd.

I liked Rory's hair when Arthur Darvill had it dyed a dark brown... seen in Let's Kill Hitler and in The Wedding of River Song. Particularly nice in the former.

i rather liked lala's floppy long blond brown hair. just seen: city of death. where she is dressed as gigi. ie, basically a french schoolgirl in straw hat ........

shame there were no beards. the delgardo and ainley Master would have looked better with a goatee .......
